I've had bourbon county and plead the 5th, but not the KBS yet. I want to say they were similar but it's been a couple years since I had the BCS.

Speaking of....just picked up this little guy. I'm a virgin to kbs and have read the hype. Also picked up Maine Beer Company's Another One. Very good ipa.

All are very good beers but I think Bourbon Barrel Plead the Fifth is the best of them.

My local brewery debuted their Double IPA tonight. I was the second patron to try it. That's nano brewing at it's best. The beer is very well done. Grapefruit nose and a nice pine finish.

 

Also talked to them about doing a collaboration brew with coffee from my family coffee shop so I'm stoked about that.

It is really close for me. after having both earlier this week I would say neck and neck maybe slight edge to KBS.

My wife and I went to the one night only concert movie last week. It was all footage I had seen before but it was cool to see it on the big screen with good sound.

Opened up the Alesmith speedway stout, probably a bad idea after KBS and BCBS. It is a good stout but much prefer the bourbon barrel aged varieties. You guys that may not be fans of the bourbon barrel aged stuff would probably really like this one.

I've never had this but it must be pretty good. There is a craft beer dinner in Asheville and Speedway is on the menu along with Heady, Pliny, and KBS. That's pretty good company.

Once it got to room temp it really came alive. One of the top non bourbon aged stouts I have tasted so far

This evenings entertainment with the brother in law...I doubt we'll get through the entire. So far the highly westified and KBS are gone...working on the BA Plead the 5th.

Tough call tonight really want to crack something new open but remember I am saving the good stuff for Masters weekend. Have a wide variety of quality set aside. May need to pick up a good DIPA to add to the mix. As much as I wanted to crack open the black betty I just went with some of my firestone double jack to finish the night.
