After three trips to Asheville, I've decided wicked weed is my favorite brewery in the area. The IPA's were great and so were a few other beers I tried. Are you referring to the freak of nature or freaky Friday?

Pernicious IPA. It was on tap at a barbecue place. A very dry white wine type of finish and lots of florals up front which I love. WW seems to be able to get so much complexity out of all of their beers. I personally hate to use "complex" when describing beer flavor but that's the only way I know to say it.

My mother-in-law just got back from a week just outside of Ashville, and she brought me back a Sierra Nevada bag with some goodies in it. I don't have any idea what's in there, but it's not a small bag. (Last time it was 3 bottles of Wicked Weed's 100 pt Bret beer and a grenade of their IPA, plus some other local brews.)

Edit: It was a 6pack of Old Chico, the Pale Bock made in NC, and a 4pack of Rain Check, the spiced stout. Going to shelf the Rain Check for colder weather next winter.

Actually it's no love for I believe 47 states. Indiana and Chicagoland get bottles. Ohio I know has had barrels at places but I think that is it.
