Atlanta club fitter

does anyone know of a good club fitter in Atlanta? and how much does it usually cost to do that? thanks!

go to Capital City Golf Club in Brookhaven. I got fitted by Chris Moulder for a 910 last year. Excellent facility, they do PIng, Taylor Made, Titleist, Callaway, and Cleveland. around $100

If you really want top of line fitting, make the 2 hour drive to Warner Robbins and see Dana Upshaw at Dana golf. He fits and blueprints about everybody and is one of very few people that gets Mizuno as components.

He's pricey, but I'd put him in the top 10 in the country and by far, the best fitter/builder in the state.

If you go to "the golf doctor", have fun... I'd recommend driving out of state before going there.

There are tons of options though: Hot Stix was set up at Golf Club of GA last I heard. That's an excellent option.

Obviously, Dana is great.

Kingdom at Reynolds...but straight TMAG.

The guys at Capital City, as mentioned do a nice job, but are Titleist biased.

ATL based as well - did you have a bad experience at the Golf Dr or am I misinterpreting your comment? I am looking for a solid driver fitting in 2012.

I have known several people to have shoddy work done...and another few be told one price then charged more.

I don't know them personally, but based on a few things I've fixed that they originally did, I wouldn't refer anyone there.

And I don't do work for the public or anything, so I'm not a competitor or anyone with an axe to grind...just posting my opinion.

I am sorry that you haven't been pleased with our work. Our goal is to make every customer happy and satisfied to the best of our ability but perhaps we sometimes fall short. We work with many hundreds of customers a year and while I wish I could say that we are perfect and never made a mistake, the truth is that mistakes do sometimes happen and we try hard to avoid them when possible and to correct them when not.

I cannot imagine an instance where we charged more for something than we originally quoted unless additional work was requested (our prices are computerized and are competitive with area stores) or we made a mistake - and our policy is to either get approval for the correct price prior to starting the work or to eat the error if we catch it too late.

We hope that if a customer has a problem he would come in and give us the chance to correct it for them. This is our 22nd year in business and making customers happy is a key to continuing to grow. If you're ever in the area, I'd love it if you could drop in and talk about your experience so that we can see if there are any changes that we need to make to improve our customer experiences.

Unfortunately, the very best is gone. His name is Lanny Britton and he ran Golf Fit. He has retired.

I would cast a vote for Golf Doctor. I don't know of anyone, including myself, that has had any problems with them.
