Just found one...a 10.5/Fuji hyperlight regular shaft that is really flexy/torquey...but I need that I guess 'cause I hit it great...
The trajectory just rises higher than the r7/425/9.5 with its Superfast 50 reg shaft...not a bad thing...now I have two "favorite" drivers...well, 3 if I decide to keep the r5 dual/N driver I found last month...I like the size of the 580xd head too, being more compact than the r5D...
EDIT:
I've come to realize that my swing is a sweeper consistent with fairway woods, and so I tee the ball lower than is typically recommended, more in the center of the face (rather than above/off center) for very reliable results.

I want to bump this just to see if anyone else is still using this classic. Ive tried many of the newer drivers, on the course where it counts: Mavrik, ts2, TS3, g410, m5 etc... and none of them are as consistent as this old thing. It is literally point and shoot, it just wants to go straight. And it’s just as long as the newer stuff. I’ve had them side by side. Yes it’s the conforming model before anyone asks. It seems crazy to think a driver 18 years old can keep up with the new stuff. I love the smaller look of it and it has a deeper face then most of the newer drivers out today which I love. Just wanted to show it some love and see if anyone else is still using one.

Too Funny, I found a 8.5 580xd TP head cheap a couple months ago. I think I paid $30cdn for it. Put a matrix ozik tp6hd xflex at 45.5 inches. Its much more consistent than my T.I. 16m2, F9, epic. So easy to hit straight, was only 2mph ballspeed less than m2 but my misses were so much better with the old relic. Great driver I miss the feel of these old clubs, melted butter when hit solid. From what I saw on the range all week its not more than 5yards shorter than the newer stuff.

I have to say I do not agree with this. I got back to golf after 10 years without playing and took my old clubs for a ride. I played with my old R580XD for three months and was never able to hit over 280 yards. I saw a M3 on sale and went for it. First round I use it and I hit two 300 yards drives. Second time today and I hit 2 300 yards and a massive 340 yards drive. New drivers definitely hit farther!!
