I have thought about this for some time now. Chris, I have to hand it to you. This is one of the toughest questions I have been posed with in quite some time. The answer even surprised myself. Out of all my putters the one I would keep is not a tour putter, is not a limited edition, a prototype, custom made, nor is it the one with the most value, or even milled. I would keep my Ping isoforce Anser F with Titanium pixels. I found this in the used bin, in great shape, at a Golf Galaxy for $40 (obviously under priced). A cast, retail putter with an insert?!?! What the heck is going on?

I've had Gauge Japans, DW Gauges, Yes's, Curries, Camerons, Vons, BG's, etc etc.

 

Mentor Sports Duet would be the one to stay. I have 2, one for the bag, one for the Frankensteinin'.

Not crazy at all. The ti-nickel isoforce is one of the nicest putters ever to come from Ping. I like the JAS a little bit more as a gamer, but the isoforce would be the last Ping that I give up. Aesthetics, workmanship, and rarity are all top-notch. :drinks:

To only keep one would be darn near impossible, but if I absolutely had to, I'd have to go with my T.P. Mills Proto Soft Tail.

I'll try and get a pix or two of my Proto Softtail at address tomorrow; however, since it's Christmas and we're hosting the Johnson Family Christmas, this may be a little tough. It's 6:40 a.m. here in the Chicagoland area and the boys aren't up yet, meaning that I could get a couple of additional pix up of my Proto Softtail before the mass chaos begins. It certainly looks like Santa was good to them this year ... hopefully the old man will do well himself ... maybe another Mills putter LOL!!! Let me know if you want any more angles. Yeah Chris, I got really lucky on this one. There was a miscommunication on a Custom Klassic that David made for me previously, so out of the kindness of his heart (and completely unprovoked) he contacted me to let me know that he would make me "something special" for a very reasonable price. And to my surprise, this was his creation. As you can imagine, this way exceeded my expectations. The only problem is that (to date) I can't get myself to use it on the course (carpet only) cause it's too nice. Although having four other Mills in my lineup (Professional One, Professional Softtail, Professional Tradition, and Custom Klassic) kind of softens the blow. Right now, the Professional Softtail is my gamer, although I just received the Professional One from David the day before Christmas and it's a serious contender for next year. Have a great 2007 ... wow looks great at address. I have some more thinking to do because I was almost set on 3/4 offset David Toms style with the flowing hosel. It looks good with full offset as well.

Ok, I have re-thought my previous post. Today my answer would be the Tracy I picked up yesterday at Golf Galaxy for $60. BUT, that is today. Tomorrow it will be the Red X belly putter that I picked up from Ebay this morning.....already shipped Fed Ex, tracking number in hand, with expected delivery tomorrow.

 

Bottom Line for me.......the last one I picked up will probably be my favorite.......I guess I am really just a sick puppy.

I think that my answer is easy... It is my Proto Mills Putter that David made for me back in October 2004 for me. Pictures can be seen in my signature, but currently it is in Alabama having a site-line added and a new finish applied. Some call it a restoration, I call it a Tune-Up... no nicks or dings in two years, but was time for her regularly scheduled tune-up after every 3000 miles.

 

I'll post new pictures when she comes home to me!
