I am now in Scottsbluff, Nebraska with Morgan and praying for the best. His injuries were the result of a backwards fall with no hands out to slow him down. He is resting peacefully, but the surgery required will leave a long road to recovery, once he wakes up.
I cannot tell you how much your comments mean to me and my family. In situations like this, a lot of issues get shelved and people remember what is truly important in life.
I wish blessings upon all who have shared their concern, as well as all who have read and just put Morgan, I or my family in their thoughts.
As things improve here in Nebraska, I will do my best to share the news, here on WRX.

I did not realize that it had been so long since my last update.
Morgan is resting peacefully, for the most part. His head injuries were far more extensive than I had ever realized. I had to leave his side on Monday and return to Phoenix to get back on the mill, but our mother and father are there with him, with their spouses to support them. It was a see-saw series of events, but when I left, he was heading back to surgery to have a tracheotomy put in place, along with a feeding tube on the side of his chest. These two measures helped to get him more comfortable, as they replaced a breathing tube down his throat and a feeding tube in one nostril.
He makes small improvements, daily and that is all we can ask, this early on. He can track people in the room with his eyes, understands and recognizes voices and his left side is getting more and more active, every day. He has been able to breathe on his own, almost since day one, but the docs left in the breathing tube to allow them to clear his airway, if needed, until the tracheotomy was in place.
Many of you may not know it, but Morgan was almost single-handedly responsible for the return of Damascus steel to the putter market, following a long spell since Tad Moore did his pair of styles back in the 80's. Morgan went on a serious hunt for the best Damascus he could find in the USA and commissioned one of the best putter makers at that time, Gene Nead to put one together for him, using this "new" steel. Shortly after Gene's creation was shown, you also saw several others jump on that train and create their own Damascus putters.
Some will doubt the validity of this story, but Morgan was pushing me to use Damascus long, long before any of the big names even had it on their radar.
Keep him in your prayers, as the road back will be a very long and trying trek.
