KJ Choi WITB as of June 1st 2012

Well we have been following KJ Choi over the years. He tends to play a lot of different gear. Iron swapping is a favorite pasttime for KJ. This week at the Memorial we spotted the trusty Miura 501cb's were out and the Ping i-20's were back in. Here are some hi def close up Pics from the tour.

Seems like of late he is on a 3 set cycle of the 501's the I20's and the 588's. This guy is ridiculous and represents EXACTLY how I would behave if I was out there!

Didn't even last two practice days in the bag from what I was told after I shot that putter on Tuesday at Memorial.

Does he swap wedges around too when he rotates the irons? I know he had Tour S wedges when he played the G15/i15s, and then a Miura wedge or two with the 501s.

I have an old set of KJs Tour Prefered B irons, they are std lie and loft.

A least I assume they are an "old" set of his they were sold to me as such and had a ID sticker on the butt of the Proto Matrix shafts that has his name on it.

I think it's genious. Who wants to travel with your golf bag. It's a hassle. Just make up like 3-4 different bags and then ship them to stops ahead of time. That way he doesn't get charged with those damn oversize bag fees Plus with those random bags it will always be like Christmas. By the time he shows up at each event he will have forgotten what is in each bag and he will have that new club excitement each week.

How ironic that Miura is making a limited edition set of KJ irons to honor his Players win....

I just don't get how he hasn't violated some contract yet. He must have just said screw golf club makers, I will get my endorsements elsewhere. Miuras were in bag at U.S. Open I believe.

Hey, I have a blue Prius and I-20s! I think I've been dissed....

Last week at the Deere, Golf Channel was saying Choi had three brands in his bag....he was alternating Callaway Razr MBs / another brand for the first nine of the practice round, then switching to the other brand for the second nine. Not sure where the third brand fit in.

Guess he chose the Callys. Had a good tourney with them, maybe they stay in the bag a while.

Is this why Nike dropped him? From my POV, they seem pretty strict on equipment use.
