Razr Fit users-What shaft are you using?

I just switched to an AD DI 7x from an Ahina 70x. The feel is much better and it gives me a nice high trajectory that does not balloon. I think this combo will be in my bag for a long time. Good luck.

Just took the Oban Devotion 6 out on the course and hit it very well. Hit a couple of bombs further than my Fubuki Alpha will go by about 10 yards. Seems to have a more boring trajectory with slightly lower ball flight than the Alpha. Going to take it out for a round this weekend and see how it performs after a little more practice.

I have been playing a Attas Element MK 70g stiff shaft 10.5 head all summer, very good shaft low spin, low launch. I would have been very satified playing the Element, but I need a little lower launch so I took advantage of Callaways $273.00 and brought a 9.5, The Element worked very well in both 9.5 and 10.5 until I started reading the reviews on the Speeder VC 6.2 TS,so I contacted Will @ Peoples. Will gave me a great deal on a Speeder VC 6.2 TS.so off I go, I now have a 9.5 double cog + a Speeder VC 6.2 TS stiff 45.5 8g in the toe and 6g in the hill. First time out really didn't hit it off,but my swing was a litttle off,but today without and played 9. I was able to hit a couple ball per hole started out ok.By the time I got to # 6 I was warm-up pretty good #6 is 420 slight dog leg Right with two nice size trees at the dog leg around 240-250 out. Frist drive was slighty right of the trees but long felt really good, second drive was right over the top of the trees with a slight draw even a better drive.I get to both balls that were really close together,I was about 90 yards out 320-330 drives really the two best drives of my life, and I've been playing along time.So all I can say if you are looking for a new shaft, don't over look this shaft Speeder VC 6.2 TS give Will a call he's a great WRX member

So I went to a club fitter and found out my swing speed was higher than I thought it was. Now 107 mph. The software program recommended an extra-stiff shaft based on multiple variables. This gave me the excuse to go shopping for some new (or used) shafts. Based on my research, here are my latest purchases on eBay (two new and one used shaft). Going to try them out this weekend with my Razr Fit driver.

So I managed to get out and play 9 holes this morning. It took me a few holes to get warmed up, but then started hitting it really well. I like the feel of the Speeder, very different than the Fubuki. Impact felt muted in comparison to other shafts with a more muted sound as well. Trajectory was slightly lower than Fubuki as expected, alittle less spin it seemed. Hard for me to assess role out as the fairways were soaking wet. It was also 60 degrees this morning. I hit a couple of drives 270 yards into the wind (8 mph wind) with a very wet fairway, so I was very pleased with this. I did not have any big misses. A couple of miss hits were still 250 yards out and just off the fairway, so I am happy with that. I was really worried that this shaft in an x flex was going to be too much for me, but the feel was very good.

At this point, I am very happy with both the Fubuki K series 60X and the Fujikura Motore Speeder VC 6.2X Tour Spec. I seem to hit them both well, and I like the feel of both as well. I need to play a few rounds with each of them to see if any pattern emerges, and I would expect at some point, one will suit me better. I like the look of both of them, but the Fubuki catches my eye alittle bit better. I have a feeling that my quest for the right shaft has come to an end, and I will be able to stick with one of these two. I do recognize that I am still in the honeymoon period, and I clearly haven't played enough with either of them.

Currently have 2 shafts and looking into #3.

RAZR FIT 9.5 with SS=105mph

1) Stock Aldila RIP'd NV Stiff @ 45.5"= 2900 spin
2) Aldila RIP Alpha 60S @ 45.5"= 2200 spin. This shaft reduced spin for sure. Gained about 5 yeards more over stock with a little tighter dispersion. But it feels really stiff. Definetly dropped trajectory.

Thinking of going with the Fujikura Motore 60S F3 or the Aldila RIP Phenom 70S now. Have a spare adaptor so I want to try something different. Looking for a mid trajectory. Little higher then the RIP Alpha.

Hybrid: Callaway RAZR X Tour 3H

Putter: Odyssey Metal X Milled #9HT

Recently got 2 new shafts for my Fit a , Shafts tried so far

1. Stock Ripd NV stiff - tried at stock length was horrible, Pulled and tipped .75" played at 44.75" - much better but still a bit too loose.
2. AXE Tour s - 44.75 huge difference from Ripd NV with a substantially stiffer tip. Played a lot like old Prolite shaft but smoother Plays really stiff to flex, stiffer than any makes a Blue seem like a noodle in comparison . Great dispersion, distance about the same as the Ripd NV with lower ballflight and noticably lower spin.
3. Prolaunch Red stiff - 45" , higher ball flight than the Axe and much less demanding
4. Aldila DVS 60x - 45" , equal or slightly higher flight to PLred. Shaft has a nice controlled flex, with great feel at impact

For now the choice is between the PLRed and the DVS, the Ripd and the AXE shafts are long gone. The DVS seems slightly longer but I'll have to hit both on a real golf course before I make a decision. So far both shafts have only seen range use.

Bag Setup - changes too often to bother listing

I have a question for you guys. I have a Razr Fit head that I want to reshaft because the A flex in it is way too soft for me (swing speed is on avg 88-93 mph). To determine the flex I needed, I demo'd a Fit with the stock stiff shaft and it felt decent for my swing speed. I scoured the net and found a deal on an aftermarket UST Avixcore Blue 69 shaft in stiff but I am scared this might be too much shaft for my swing speed (UST recommends at least a 90 mph swing). For anyone that has reshafted their stock stiff with an aftermarket, did the aftermarket stiffen it up any, if so was it very noticable? Or did the flex feel similar to the stock shaft?
Also is the stock shaft that much of a noodle or is it the adapter that makes it feel more tip loose than if the same shaft was in a glued driver? Guess what I am getting at is will the UST shaft play a little looser because of the adapter?

Thanks
