Salty Putter Grips

It's not very fragile, It slid on(with a little extra effort) quite well. Follow their instructions to the T. You just need to be sure to push it straight on, not bend it. It takes extra force and you should try to get it as straight as possible in the initial install, they're less easy to twist into alignment but still very possible to do so. I have installed two without issue, about to do my 3rd Monday.

As Ben has said, Game changer grip. I will not use a putter without one, Have two on Putters, one on Order to go on a putter and I'll probably buy another backup eventually. They're more durable than you think, I was cautious about other grips running into it while sliding down the bag but now I just treat it like a normal grip, Durability was one of my tender issues with this grip and it has outperformed on that front just as well as it has on the feel and overall awesomeness.

I just added a wrap per taper in the shaft. It ended up being three at the bottom and the second one went about halfway up. Pretty simple and similar to other grips once you get the wraps correct.

Hopefully if I ever get steamed and toss my putter into a green-side lake, the cork will keep it from sinking.

Ordered one today for the Nead Copper Mini. Quick question, is it completely impossible to install one of these with air?

I tried early on. The problem is there is no real stickiness on the inside of the grip. The cork/rubber on the inside is really smooth too, much like the outside. Since the grip doesn't expand with air, you can't make it slightly bigger to install so it shrinks tight against the club. Tape and solvent is the only way.

That sucks... Graphite shaft and I'd rather not have to cut the grip off if I don't like it.

I tried doing one with air very carefully. Tape/Solvent is really the only way.

If you build the grip area up very carefully with blue painters tape before you put the Double sided tape on, you can carefully slide the Salty on and Dry test run the grip.

Honestly, Not sure how anyone could not like this grip...so I wouldn't worry.

I ordered one over the weekend and got a stamps.com shipping notification the next day.

I didn't get a confirmation on my order but Mark did say he would send it to the engraver the next day, so if you get a custom order the confirmation may not come with it. But I can tell you from my experience thus far that these guys work fast and aim to please.

I put the Salty on my Newport Two last night. All I can say is wow! Feels great and the weight really helps me feel the head of the putter well. If it wasn't raining I'd be at the practice green right now. The install was really straight forward and I think the only thing that would give people trouble would be getting the tape right as the shaft tapers (as the grip doesn't taper inside.)

I love mine so much. Whit is the best. However, my lab got a hold of it and it was gone forever. I was going to buy a new one, but then I found counterbalanced putters. Part of me is tempted to get creative with the saw.

Played my first round on it today, first green I rolled in about a 15 footer for bird. I wish I could say that all the holes were the same story. But I love it, It really encourages a light touch.

I like the grip after adjusting to it. As long as you don't grip down hard on it, it's a great grip. I found myself choking it to death on putts I'd hit off line. That and playing a course I haven't played in years on new greens (hybrid Bermuda) made for an interesting start. That said 9 holes in I rolled in back to back to back 10+ footers to go par, birdie, birdie to start the back 9. Not hitting the ball well most of the day kind of put a damper on things. Only 3 putt I had was on 18 for par. Sad thing is its the only time I've ever seen anyone hit that green in 2. I killed a driver, hit the big draw in with my 4/21 hybrid and just nuked it. Best I've ever hit that club. Deep green so I was all the way at the back with a front pin. Putted the first one 60 feet down the hill to about 8 feet past (and I let it trickle the last 15 feet too, grain and downhill allowed it to roll and roll and roll). Lipped out the birdie back up the hill and tapped in. I love the grip on this putter though, just need to use it more.

Are you guys noticing a big difference regarding feeling the putter head? I'm interested in these grips, but would be a 35-40 gram difference from my current grip.

This would make the head feel much heavier, corrrect?

Yeah big difference. I couldn't feel my current putter head at all until I put this grip on.
