Best iPhone GPS app?

I am fairly new to the game and was curious what everyone thought the best GPS app was for the iPhone? My thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I really like Golfshot. One time fee and its pretty accurate for my game.

Golflogix is another good one, the free version is decent. Don;t like the fact that it has a yearly subscription for the paid version.

I really like Swing by Swing, it is free, and is accurate and very easy to use. It may not have every tee box, but it still measures accurately.

Golf Shot +1, very easy to use, use it on iphone 4s. Love the lay up feature too.

How badly do these drain the battery? Is it easy to turn the app on and off when need be to save the battery life?

Golfshot is very easy and doesn't drain much of my battery. What I do is keep it locked (sleep) until I need a yardage, open the app up, get my yardage and immediately lock it back up. Usually only drains about 25-30% doing this.

golfshot gps. i've had it for 2 golf seasons and i trust it.. and you only pay once. no subscriptions to pay.. i jusy received the skycaddie for christmas and already i find it to complicated and it requires you to pay for course downloads. golfshot GPS has course downloads from around the globe for free.. cool...

So far, the most consistently recommended app has been Golfshot: Golf GPS. I’m going to look into it a few of them to see which is the most useful. In case anyone else may want a list of golf gps apps to choose from, kindly see below. Also, much thanks to all of you for your recommendations.

just read about another app here this morning - Fun Golf. Check it out.

I downloaded the free version and I'm going to try it out this weekend. I doubt it will be better than Golfshot. The paid version is $19.99

If you search hard enough, there are several of these applications costing $30 or more, at least there were 3 years ago when I bought them all.

[b]GolfShot[/b] is one of two that stayed on my phone, along with [b]Mobitee[/b]. Worth every penny IMO.

Great, fast little program. I like Mobiltee for it's speed, and GolfShot for it's ability to track stats...
