It seems like TT DG S300 with/without Sensicore was the shaft of choice back in the day. If either of those fits the bill I wouldn’t over think things.

Ta5s are my all time babe. Played a set for 9 years, my best golf years with a set I came to love. Sold them some time ago to a friend and sometimes we meet at the practice tee and I ask him to lend me his 5 iron for the sake of old times. Outstanding clubs.

They're .370 (parallel).

I know this is an old thread but I might as well ask the question here.

What shafts would be good options to put in these iron heads? I got a set with stock regular steel, and I am looking to get some STIFF steel shafts in them.

Are S300s preferred? I see a lot of people talking about Sensicore.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

They came stock with the Sensicore Release shaft that played soft to flex.

I still play these irons. They're well well over 15 years old and they are as good as new. Original Grips, faces are clean, I keep them in pristine condition. Maintaining your clubs and knowing how to hit them will really prolong their life. I've honestly not found an older set of clubs, or any clubs in general, who have really held up the same as these clubs. This, in my opinion, is probably one of Cleveland's best irons sets that they've ever made.

Cleveland made some great irons back in the day. I started the game with a set of TA4's that were my dad's. He gave them to me when he went Ping. A year or two later when I started playing my my high school team, I converted to Titleist irons. That said, I remember the TA4's being outstanding and I remember really jonesing for a set of TA3's but couldn't find a fitter for Cleveland at the time.
