Had my 962s sent to iron factor for a rebuild (polish, re-groove, loft and lie, new shafts) and I am very happy with the results. Can't wait for the snow to go away so I can get out to hit these. It's like being reunited with an old friend.

I wish I could find a 975D with x100 in good shape. I'd love to have that in this bag. Always did hit that well.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the total cost? I was looking at their pricelist, but it is a little confusing. I have been having a hard time letting go of my bridgestone J33 CB's and this seems like a good option to keep them around another 10 years. thanks

I posted a question regarding them as it's been a loooooong time since I've sent them anything and wanted to know how they're doing it now. Shipped a set of Nike Split Cavity Protos to them a few weeks ago (as the site said 3-4 weeks turnaround). I was hoping to get them back by this coming Friday at the latest (and shipped them allowing for the max 4 weeks turnaround listed). Well, Jim still hasn't even called to set up payment. I know used to they did that before doing any work, but was wondering if they do that after doing all work. I sent them head only just for a regroove and rechrome job. I sent the letter with them as requested stating all work to be done, name, number, address, etc. I was wondering how long it took to get yours back and when they called, before or after work was completed? I did call last week (as in 10 or so days ago) to verify they were there and I didn't need to file an insurance claim because they were lost in the mail (they'd showed delivered for over a week at that point). They do have them, but I have no idea where they stand as far as completion is concerned.

I'll have to do some research (check my e-mails) but let me get back to you on that. I'm not quite sure.

I'd like to know the cost, too. I traded for a set of these about an hour ago.

The closest I can get to "how much" is my fiance saying "six hundred or so". I know I spoke personally with Jim and gave him the authorization and I want to say it was $50-ish per club.


I'd gladly do it again. I think my 681s may make a trip next fall for a "rebuild".
