Here's my beef... This pair of shoes with a different sole... 70.00....

Just not for me... Probably super comfy... Super light... Probably a great shoe... Just a touch overpriced for what you get

Isn't that all Nike apparel, though? Have you heard about that recent strike at the Nike factory in Cambodia? Those women make something like $50 per MONTH. And then we pay hundreds for a pair of shoes to wear on the golf course which costs us hundreds more. But yes, I agree. $130 is a bit steep..

I've had the air rates and air ranges in the past. I'll probably get a pair of these, but I wish they had a few spikes on them like the rates/ranges.

Regarding waterproofing: I don't wear shoes like this on wet days or early in the morning. Your feet will get wet. The upside is they don't retain moisture, either. Considering most of you sweat heavily into your shoes, these are probably drier than your normal pair. If they are all mesh, they are the perfect desert or hot summer shoe.

Im sure $50 bucks in Cambodia goes a whole lot further there than $130 here in the US.

So you can live on $130 a month?

Which free's are $70? Most are $100 when they come out. They go on sale, but new releases are $100 for the mainstream...

These will almost certainly knock the crappy Adidas Crossflex's out of my locker. The Adidas are comfy as hell, but in white, they look like garbage after a single round. I wear Nike Free away from the course, but didn't feel like sinking the bucks into the TW's. If these are an affordable alternative - bye bye Crossflex, hello FI.

12mm of drop? Really?

That is just way too much for a "Free" golf shoe, if you ask me. I'm not running a marathon in these things, I'm walking and swinging clubs. The Nike Free 3.0 has 4mm of drop, and I consider that to be about perfect. I wish they would create a Nike Free 3.0 golf shoe.
[/quote]
Totally agree with this. That's been my biggest beef with the cross flex. If this is really a free motion design, that's way too much drop. I was on the range with my regular free trainers last night thinking the exact same thing. Anyone know what the drop on the TW's might be?

I absolutely love the look on these shoes and I'd bet they are comfortable as hell I just prefer to have spikes on the bottom. I might still consider picking up a pair, I love how they are waterproof. I would have NikeID'd the breathable TW14 but they aren't waterproof and I play most of my golf in the morning and my feet will be soaked after 1 hole.

I'll have to pass on these, I used to be a HUGE Nike guy but after trying on the True Linkswear Senseis there is no going back. Zero Drop on the Course or nothing. Not to mention the Senseis are only $99

Yeah, I really feel like Nike dropped the ball on this one. The Nike Free 3.0s have a huge following, and they are 4mm heel-toe drop. I think that would make for an ideal spikeless golf shoe, and I have heard several other people mention they want a "Nike Free 3.0 Golf".

But maybe we're just a vocal minority?

So, I couldn't wait for feedback and went to Roger Dunn's and tried on a pair of the black. Looks much better in person and the drop wasn't noticeable at all to me. The fit was very good and comfortable, basically a sneaker. We'll see how waterproof it is, I'm out with the sun this Saturday.

Yes, very good arch support and suprisingly good cushioning for a Free type of design. I wore it around my yard a bit and it is not the lowest profile, but still good and you can feel the ground like the TW13. I also did notice the drop a bit more after spending more time with it and actively paying attention. But NOT a deal breaker to me. I'm very happy with it so far and can't wait for my round Saturday.

Tried them on today and left the store empty handed...just not feeling these. I'm usually a 12 in nike. I had or have nike shoes for pretty much every sport i have played. The last pair of nike golf shoes I bought were the ascends...the new line is just not fitting me well. I have tried the TW's, lunar's, and now the FI's in multiple sizes, including wides. Maybe my foot changed? I dunno but they don't fit like they used to. I have had the ascends, old lunar's, and almost every iteration of TW pre-2012. I'm going to give it one more shot next time I go in because I was really looking forward to these, but have to say I'm disappointed...for now anyway
