NIKE FI Impact Golf Shoes

Recommended Posts

Bought them yesterday at GG. There is a $20 off coupon online and in store. $109 can't wait to wear them. My first spineless shoe. Can't wait for the comfort.

Tried these on at GS the other day. I'm currently playing with TW'13's and they are snug for people with wide feed. The top material of the TW has a rough plastic feel. This is probably due to the waterproofing aspect.

The new Impacts feel great. Just like my Free and Lunar running shoes. If I would've know these were coming out, I would've skipped the TW line.

Are they true to size? How do they compare in size to the TW14? To the Nike Free 5.0?
[/quote]

Fairly true to size I think. I had a 9.5 in the TW13 which were a tad too small so I went with the same in the FI Impacts and they're perfect. As far as a comparison to any Free shoe, I think they run a tad bigger. I wear a 10 in all of my free's (3.0, 4.0, and 5.0) and the 9.5 is perfect for me in the FI Impact.

By the way, I will go on record and say that these are the best golf shoes I have ever owned. Very similar to the TW13's (haven't tried the 14's though) IMO. I love the spikeless trend even though on some early mornings with dew they do not grip as well as spikes but I figured that would be the case anyways. Love the comfort of these things and I really hope Nike puts these up on ID. The two pics of Petterson's above are sharp.

I agree. I wear 10.5 in Free 5.0 and wear a 10 in the FI Impact (also wear a 10 in any other Nike golf shoe I have owned)

Wore these for 36 holes walking today. Incredibly comfortable! Good grippage in the early morning dew and heavily water saturated turf from our sprinkler systems. Was surprised how easily the dirt cleaned off my light grey/black pair. I usually wear my adidas Adizero Tour shoes for the early morning walking round because they are so easy to c,ean afterwards and have great gripping power. Have to admit: my feet, legs and body all felt less tired today in the Impacts than they usually do with the Adizeros.

Walked another 36 in these again today. I'm about as cynical as they come with most things, but these things truly are incredible, at least for my old feet. No slippage today. Good gripping power on the swings where I really went all out. And my legs and feet were still fresh enough that I almost walked another 9 if I didn't think it would have led to a divorce! I thought the original Lunar Controls was the most comfortable Nike model ever, but lo and behold they have been passed in my book.

Did they run true to size when compared to other Nikes?

I didn't find that these ran true to size. I found that they were too small in the toe area. My regular Nike golf shoes fit fine, but these just didn't work.

I wear the same size in the original Lunar Controls and these.

That problem sounds just like my problem with NIKE Lunar Ascends. I loved them initially but I could barely walk after 9 holes.

Regarding sizing, my FJ's are 8's. My Ecco Biom Hybrids are 41's. My Adidas Adizero Tours are 8.5, as are my other Adidas golf shoes. I had to go with a 9 in the Nike FI Impacts. The 8.5 fit the foot ok, but the toe box was crowded with my toes at the end. I think would be uncomfortable by the end of a round, so I opted for the 9's.

What Is and What Should Never Be

I just picked up a pair of the white shoes (they look more of a white to me) today at Dick's. They are extremely comfortable. My current favorite shoe is the Nike Lunar Control II. Those took over for my Asics. I have not had the new sleds on the course yet but will this weekend. Maybe tomorrow if. Can escape the office.

These are what the TW14's should be for a shoe. I tried on a pair of the TW's and hands down these are way more comfortable. This will be my first pair of spikeless shoes so I am anxious to see how they perform.

One odd note to mention is that in both the TW13 & TW14 I wear a size 13. With the FI Impact I also wear a 13. In the Lunar Control, I wear a 12. I am not sure what is going on there.

To me, these feel very similar to the Free running shoe. Again, this is what Tiger was going for originally in his shoes. They definitely have a more casual look to them compared to other shoes. I will probably get a black pair of Lunar for the winter over the FI Impact just because of the mesh. I will need my feet to be warm..

Enjoy.

I will agree with matracy68. They feel like the Nike Free 5.0. I had the TW14 and I wore them for about 10 rounds and they just never felt as comfy as the FI. I am a shoe whore. I have had trues, ecco, ashworth, adidas, fj, callway and both tw13 & ,tw14 and these are the lightest, most comfy and nicest looking golf shoes I have ever wore. The trues are close runner but they lack the heel support and the stylish look. Too clown like. The white/grey are nice looking!

Just bought the black ones.....I was between buying size 10.5 (most shoes I wear) and the 11. Went with the 11 because my toes felt a bit cramped with the 10.5.

I checked these out at the PGA Tour Superstore today. I've only played Nike golf shoes the last 5 years and these looked great on the forum, but not a fan of them in person. I like golf shoes that look like running shoes. The TW 13s do. They feel great. These at first glace look like running golf shoes, but when I tried them out they are more like "these are old school weird looking golf shoes." They are EXTREMELY light though. Barely anything to them.

I agree....Normally wear 11 but no chance in the FI. Toes cramped right to the end....had to go to 11.5 for proper fit. I like the FI Impact in the store for fit and look. But, came home and found an online deal for some TW13 at $99 and could not pass them up. At some point the FI Impact will be had sub $100 and probably sub $90 and I will be a buyer.

I agree with your statement. I love these, but they really should be at about a $99 price point.

I wore these for the first time. I would hope these make it to NikeID, because these are very comfortable. These are my first Nike's in years. And yes, these are VERY light.
