OK, if you guys can grind me into submission with a five hour round, you'll beat me easily. :wave:

Played Goodrich today. It took almost 5 hours, which is really hard to do on a track that short. +9 79. Lordy. I have big numbers in me, never fear!

They putt out the Keller men's club, general play, and then two Keller women's clubs, and then more general play. That...was....AWESOME of them!

Thanks Goorich! Course is in great shape though! Little gem. Nice day. Got my walk in.

Played north fork this morning in 2 1/2 hours 4 some. 80

Funny. Last time I was up there, (a Thursday, 1:48PM tee time) they gave me the tee time 8 minutes behind an event large enough that they had tents out at the par 3's, etc. They were breaking down the tents immediately after the group in front of us tee'd off. 5 hours. Northfork is a dirty word right now, and I play up there quite a bit. ha!

What time did you tee off?

 

I think I have to start calling courses and grilling them on their tee sheets instead of this online stuff. It's really been biting me in the a** lately.

Tournament at Virginia Golf Course today played in 5 some took almost 4.5 hours. Normally play in about 3.5 walking. I walked the other 4 carted it.+3 74. 5 back of the leaders going into tomorrow's 27 hole final. Jay shot +5, 76, bogey double finish but still made his 1st cut into the Championship flight in his 1st 2 day stroke play tournament out of High School.

Longest round I've ever played was at Mississippi Dunes they put the Jr. League out before us on the back 9 didn't find out till 5 1/2 hours later. It would be polite of the course to let you know before hand!

Every Saturday and Sunday between 6 and 7. Always play in 3 hours. Never play after 10:00 am unless you like to sit on your thumb. The place has to many leagues and tournaments. Mondays and Tuesdays if you can get out before the leagues your golden or after 5:30 on Thursdays and Friday nights.

 

I'm with you if the round last longer then 4 hours watch out high numbers.

I played Classic at Maddens today. Course is well maintained as is their goal to have less than half the average rounds of golf than a regular course in the Brainerd area. Playing with their Head Pro and pro from another course we made 3.5 hours. Awful 48 in first 9, ended with 43 in the back. Really enjoyable. Maybe in the future we can go there.

Wow. That's really....EARLY. LOL!

I usually play afternoons. I know I'm asking for it, but health crud makes me move pretty slow in the morning.

 

I played Tanners at 12:15 today and got around in 4:15. Slow 3 some of kids in front of us on the front. Course is getting pretty dry. Some areas are really lush fescue, and some areas you'll get a bounce 10 ft in the air. Little Open CHampionship flavor. Shot pretty poorly today. Managed a 78. One birdie. Yuck. Driving has SUCKED last two rounds since Prestwick where it was pretty "on." Managed a 72 at Tanners a couple days after Prestwick, but have really sucked these last two rounds.

Played da Brook today. Nice out there! Hardly any wind, which is a rarity.
Greens were rolling nicely. Medium-fast-ish. Missed a 6 footer for eagle on #9. Ouch. Two of the best swings I've made on that hole.
Almost another on #16.

Switched up the bag today:

Anser 10.5º, Phenom 60 stiff
G5 15º, Phenom 80 stiff
i20 20º, RIP @ 85 stiff
i20's 4-PW, C-taper stiff
Tour S 50º, 54º, 58º, S400's

what kind of shape is Phalen in these days? I used to play there quite a bit before I moved out to DC. I knew a guy that worked there and he took good care of us. I always liked it for a really cheap round in the city.

Probably the best shape I have ever seen it in! I play there 3-4 times a week and everyone is super friendly, one of my favorite courses but I can't put my finger on a specific hole or reason why I like it so much...plus I shot this 77 without hitting anything more than 2 iron all day! Low score here is a +4 74 but I play this course more than anywhere else. I can have a crappy day and still shoot in 81 or lower.

Indeed! Very generous of everyone! We're trying to make sure no one walks away empty handed, but it will be a great day nonetheless.

As of right now.....I still have a full 3 weeks to change every club in the bag.

Seriously though, the J40's aren't going anywhere for a while. I've never had better feeling irons.
