Is the White Belt Dead?

There has to be at least a little bit of room for improvement there. And I only say that because you used the word "every". You basically take your white belt out as your "golf belt" and pair it with every golf shirt/shorts/pants combination you have. Hopefully it works with most of what you wear, but my guess is it doesn't work with everything you wear.

 

Consider a grey or blue belt as your next style piece, if black is too drastic of a jump to make.

I do have a grey belt, and it gets worn occasionally, however I generally wear a white hat or visor, with either my Tour 360 adidas or Ecco Biom hybrid, both 95% white. I guess I shouldn't have said every time its a white belt, but usually. I have green, light blue, khaki, black, navy, tan/white striped, light grey and dark grey shorts etc. I have 30+ golf shirts as well, in about every color/combination there is haha. With the exception of black shorts, the white belt works well with most outfits. I do wear a black belt occasionally, as well as a medium grey, and have a navy YRI designs embroidered belt from a private club I worked at, so I do mix it up.

 

End of the day, I'm a white belt fan with the proper outfit.

I agree, too much white together.

 

Monday I wore a pink shirt with faint green white and blue stripes, with white shorts, white 59 belt, white visor, white Ecco bioms. Was told I was the best dressed that day. Louis Oosthuizen and Ian Baker Finch were some of the others on the course at the time haha.

I've seen guys wear white belts and look just fine. I suppose it matches the other accessories and blends well. Subtly stylish.

I've started matching my belt to my shorts/pants or my shirt. I used to match the color of my belt to my shoes, but find matching it to the clothing makes for a cleaner look. So, white shorts=white belt, or black shorts and a white shirt with a white belt. I think having 3 different colors in your shorts, shirt and belt just looks too busy.

Was at Quail Hollow yesterday and today for the PGA tour event. Easily 50% of the field had white belts. Listen to tour players who are real golfers, not a 70 year old gay guy whose only claim to fame is working for a golf publication.

You realize that's basically how all style and trends are started, right? Famous people don't dress themselves either. They have stylists who have their ears to street dress them in whatever is starting to be trendy. Then normal people see that and pick up on it. Then the fashion trendsetters are on to the next thing... rinse and repeat for all eternity.

I color-coordinate to my golf bag, which is black. Once upon a time I bought a cream-colored suit and then bought a cream-colored Mercedes so I would be fashionably coordinated.

I hope not. It gets so hot down here in Atlanta, so I wear light colored clothing all the time. My shorts are usually a light grey, stone, or light khaki, and my shirts are usually white or light colored. The white belt really seems to be the only color that works for me.

I'd actually prefer people remember me as the guy who always wears bright clothes then the guy who always shoots 97.
