Callaway 2014 Apex Pro Irons: In-hand photos

A sold offering from Callaway. Hit both a little while ago and I will be going with a combo set. Great feel on both the Apex and Pro.

Looks like Callaways is copying Titleist's idea with the AP1 and AP2.

We are a new GG Superstore that just opened last week...my guess is we got them first, along with our Henderson, NV store also..maybe.

Either way, nice to have them..as soon as pre-order opens up, I already have two orders to put in.

I heard from somewhere orders could be submitted around Nov 15th...of course they won't ship till around Dec 1st or so to arrive on the 6th, and Apex Pro isn't out till January...I was hoping to find out that Apex only was still better for me afte testing..but the Apex Pro showed up STRONG, so it made it into the short irons!! Little more wait time won't kill me.

For those of you that have hit Apex and Apex pro, how is the offset on the Apex? I don't like the looks of much offset, but am thinking I might go with the Apex and not the pro if it doesn't look too bad. Thanks

I really prefer the look of my X Forged, I like a thinner top line and sole, that said, I thought the Apex Pro was stellar, I thought the Apex was a touch bigger than what I am used to...but not so much that I won't consider playing it, nor did I think it was big enough for me to 'notice' it every time I set it down.

As much as I've envied the 2013 X-Forged, these Apex Pros may have just won my heart over.

Best set of irons I've ever had were my 710 AP2's
I foolishly traded away. Apex Pro's sound a lot like an AP2.

Shape and set up I will agree with you...what I didn't find in the AP2 was ENOUGH feedback at impact on very slight mis-hits..almost too soft around the sweet spot. Others will disagree and I am not going to go into it. But for me, I want to know right at impact and the Apex Pro will do for me what the X Forged did in that regard..give me that.

Hoping to make a trip into Houston soon to hit the apex and apex pros once they get them in at golfsmith. Currently gaming some old
Bridgestone CB's and would like a little more forgiveness on off days without sacrificing too much size. Seems like apex pro will be perfect

I am surprised that there is so much love for the Apex and only minimal love for the pros. I am playing XHP and thought the pros were outstanding. Our pro is switching from his AP2s. He could not do wrong with them. The Apex will be better for the mass majority of golfers, but this is the first time I have seen such a large head get so much love over a clean head like the pro. It is great to see people put their ego aside.

I'm most happy about them putting the satin finish on the Apex Pro head. The 2013 X Forged was great, but I was pretty disappointed with the shiny chrome finish.

$1299 for apex so imagine it would apply for the apex pro. Steel seems to be the same for both as well.

Had a chance to hit Apex with Recoils today.

They look fantastic, feel average and the results were very similar to my gamers, VRS Forged. I believe my displeasure in the feel was due to the Recoils, not the Apex heads.

Long story short, I thought Apex would knock VRS Forged out of the bag... Realality, that's not going to happen. But if your not already playing a hot forging like the VRS or JPX Pros... I think you will enjoy the Apex's!

First form comment for me. The apex pro irons look sweet, wondering if the back insert will reduce shock much? Anyone hit these head to head with Pings new 55's?
