Well, the i20's weren't there long. On to the i25's.

Wow, I don't know what to say. He's switching on a weekly basis. I know they are pros and can score with almost anything, but switching clubs as much as KJ does would seem detrimental vs sticking with something and building confidence with a particular setup. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that he will not win another big tourney (players etc.). Also, I would think that switching clubs as much as he does would have a much larger effect on his game vs the amateur due to the exact specs, numbers, ball flight, feel, etc. that a pro is constantly looking to repeat.

I like the dude, hope he excels, but won't be surprised if he doesn't.

Like tjumper said, KJ will pay out of pocket for a good amount of his new clubs. Being #16 on the All-Time Career Money list probably helps a tad .

Though I am sure he could get a few sets for free from various OEMs but with the amount that he switches, he probably doesn't want to be a bother knocking on the door of every tour van poking his nose around and taking advantage of their generosity (*cough* *cough* Elk)

I think the reason behind the constant switching is the enigmatic phenomenon known as "the honeymoon phase"...We have all been there. You drop a dime on some new clubs/shafts. Get to the course with your fresh gear feeling good about your new purchase (so shiny). You're smashing drives. You're sinkin' putts. The fun will never end!

Then that inevitable day comes...

The gear that was once young and exciting, starts to look old and dated. It still gets the job done. But, you start to look over the fence at your neighbors gear and wonder what it would be like to feel that excitement just one more time. To have that "honeymoon" all over again. And the vicious cycle continues. So it goes...for the ho...

T2 with a new set of clubs ain't too shabby.

Dude played out of his mind. Leader in the clubhouse until he was edged out by a stroke in the final pairing. T2 is a payday.

Granted he played MP64's for a spell last year, he has been with i20's for a while. i25 irons don't require a break-in being the same basic performance.

New drivers tho - and ball. He used the NON-Alpha in the actually tournament.

He did, was watching him and was hoping he would have gotten up and down on 17 for par. I'm a huge fan as well.
