We really don't talk about these putters enough. Some great designs out there and many on this board have them in their bags and/or collections. Let's show them off! Share your pictures and stories.

Description added 1/2015:

This is a Ghost Tour that has been modified to include the sole weights. Found it on eBay. Followed it through several auctions, then contacted the seller.

Update 1/2015- this is a head that was for sale on eBay. A 350g and a 360g head, this is a 360 gram head. It came with no paint fill or shaft. This is what TM can do if they thought there was a market for it. Rumor has it these were made for someone like Dustin Johnson or Justin Rose who uses flow neck design, with a very heavy head.

Great thread, wish I had something to contribute, but I will say that I love that naked, flow neck Daytona with the milled face. Very cool. What is the head weight like?

The Black finish on the Kia Ma model is like concrete. The white on the R11/R11s and original Ghost putters was "fragile" to say the least. The Ghost Tour models are better, still not great. Zach Heusser, Dave Feldman and I have had this discussion lately. Do we refinish these to be perfect or leave original. For the most part we are collecting, not trying to resell or invest. I touch up a little, but generally leave them alone. When the refinish costs more than you payed for the putter.....

Stated as 360 grams. And with the adjustable weights in the bumpers, now up over 380 grams!

And if you want a putter to be add to the thread, Zach, Dave or I should be able to hook you up! You wouldn't believe our group text activity!

We all had an awesome day. The day started about 7:45 in the lobby of TaylorMade offices. They rest of the WRX guys have been teasing me about my TM putters. One of them is a JDM issue black Kia Ma Daytona w/steel AGSI insert. And Dave even said that Kia would be at the plant and we would get to see him.
Tom Kroll was going to give us the first part of the tour and he was telling us about what we would see and little did we know...in walks Kia Ma through the front door!!

He signed my head cover and said that the shaft was a little cocked in the head and would I mind if he fixed it for me?? Heck, no I don't mind!! And when he was done he brought it out to me with my initial stamped on the face.

Here is the one that I've been using for a few weeks, it was a 42 inch Itsy Bitsy Spider with the Ghost putter that was made for Pat Perez, I took it down to 35 inches and put an Ultra Flatso on it and it is money, I love it. I've got another thread going, I would love to find one with a slant neck, but this one is going to be in the bag for a while.

Me too! I have been wanting TM to release the Japan Itsy bitsy with slant neck since J Day put it in the bag!

I'll admit I'm not versed in TM putters. So what's the difference between their tour issued and regular retail?

Not to over simplify, but the first things is anything that doesn't match the retail model. Could be a different finish, different alignment line, different neck or hosel. The Rossa badge is normally on the back cavity. If it is Script or lettering, that is a sign of Tour Issue or at least limited release. Some models were released with an insert for retail. And the same model might be made for Tour without. Or vice versa. Anything with Proto may even give the initials for whom it was made.

Yea, the Itsy Bitsy Spider which was a pretty popular item, was never released in Ghost finish in the states (and even the Japan model didn't look like this one) and other than perhaps Japan models, never with the newer (and better) face insert.

Ed and Zach - One of the used shops here in Myrtle had a Proto Agb or something like that on their rack for sale. I didn't think it was anything special kind of looked like a Ping Zing style. I will have to check it out if I get a chance and take some pics. Might be something special

Perfect! I would love to see pictures of that. We have some Sebring models that will get pictures up of that look a lot like a Ping Zing so that could be what it is.

That is definitely what it looked like, I think the neck might have been a little different.
