Speeder TS 6.2 v Pro 2.0 TS

Discuss. Difference? Similarities? Etc...

Im speaking to the 60g series, driver application.

These are fairly different shafts overall. The 6.2 TS is massively stiff in the butt section with the Pro 2.0 being a bit softer. They both lose stiffness very similarly down to the middle of the shaft where the Pro 2.0 bumps up in stiffness while the TS 6.2 keeps falling, flattening out and maintaining stiffness with a couple bumps in the tip section, leading to a very stiff tip. The Pro 2.0 after its mid stiffness bump starts falling pretty linearly but is still very stiff in the tip and mid sections as well. The Pro 2.0 is also fairly counterbalanced which should be taken into consideration. If you load the shaft enough I imagine you would find the biggest difference in that divergent mid section with the Pro 2.0 being very stout there while also feeling softer in the butt section. As a result the Pro 2.0 probably launches lower overall, all things being equal.

Amazing stuff Valtiel. thank you! I always love me some Fujikura golf shafts. The original TS speeder 6.2 is a great one for me.

No problem! Yeah those Speeders were pretty legendary for good reason. I have a couple TS 9.8 hybrid shafts that will be going into some builds this summer, looking forward to that!

The TS .2 Speeders also seem to be somewhat similar to the Evenflow Black if you're looking for an equivalent. Obviously the Atmos Black is in the same family as well.

Another quick note, surprisingly the Diamana W-series shafts are a dead ringer for the Fuji TS .2 speeders as well and can likely be had cheaper.

Any idea on the 6.3 TS? That was probably my favorite driver shaft of all time after moving to it from the 6.2 TS.

Valtiel - How about any of the Fuji Evo line? Specifically the original TS the Evo II and Evo IV. I have a VC TS 7.3 in my 3w that I absolutely love and have been through all the "white" profile shafts, KK, Tensei White, WB etc but I think I prefer the firmer butt section. I think its the same reason I dont get along with Dynamic Gold iron shafts.

Yeah, the TS .3 Speeders have smoothed out the mid/tip stiffness bump that the TS .2 shafts have. On the TS .2 Speeders, the very stiff butt section loses stiffness pretty linearly down to just past the mid section where it suddenly flattens out and stiffness pretty aggressively, with an additional bump in stiffness approaching the tip, thats what gives it such a stout and firm feel at and approaching impact. The TS .3s on the other hand don't have that sudden flattening/stiffening and instead flatten out more gradually and smoothly through the lower mid section into the tip, stiffening up at the end to reach a similar point that the TS .2s arrive at. It very much looks like an effort to make the TS .2 profile a little more smooth and friendly, basically turning it into a more linear version of a "Blueboard" style profile on steroids, whereas the TS .2 adds the elements of the more stout, lower spin profiles to the overall formula to make a Blueboard profile on 2x steroids. :D
