TM TP5x vs Pro V1x left dash

Trying to test balls out to see which one I like best. Prefer a more firm lower spin ball that still spins plenty around the greens and I've narrowed down to these two. Wondering if anyone has tested these on a launch monitor and what they find with wedges, irons, and driver between the two. Used to play the Pro V1x back before they made it a spin machine so thinking the left dash is basically the old lower spin model I liked years ago. TP5x seems like it would be the ball that would be most similar. I just don't have any type of monitor to test these but have hit both on course. AVX felt too soft and for some reason distance off the tee compared to these two and ProV1 was so much shorter. Hated the AVX. For reference my ss is around 118-120 mph with driver and around 98 mph with 6 iron. Struggle with high launch and high spin.

Just my experience-

off driver, the TP5x and V1x are very similar. The left dash appeared to be slightly lower launch but not lower spin, so that the trajectory was more ‘old school’. At my 100mph driver speed, the left dash was a bit too high compression for me overall though.

off mid irons, the left dash obviously had more of the same response, low launch, high spin. Again, using p790’s this was not an optimal experience. The TP5x flew higher, was better at distance control, and didn’t tend to draw as much.

It would be interesting for you to try the left dash and the Bridgestone B XS. IMO the B XS is designed to do specifically what you’re looking for.

I've been playing both balls all spring in between shut down (My driver ss is 116-120) The left - is definitely firmer feeling than the X5. Off driver left -slightly lower trajectory but nothing earth shattering Possibly a little more greenside spin...but, nothing I would quibble about. Biggest difference I found it had a much lower ball flight off irons, for me.

Interesting. I was thinking about trying a BS ball but I'm not a big fan of the dimple pattern looking down at the ball. Was thinking more toward the BS X since the XS I think would spin too much for me.

Driver swing speed is ~110-115. I found the TP5x and the Bridgestone BX very similar. Slightly less spin off the driver with the BX, but overall they were almost identical.

Tried the AVX for a few rounds last year and found the distance with my mid to short irons to be too inconsistent for me.

Currently playing the ProV1, but would have no issue using the BX regularly.

The B XS is the ‘Tiger Ball’. He apparently close it because of the lower driver launch and higher short iron spin. The Spy tests appears to confirm that.

Dimples are funky though.
