They have been on sale $60 / 2 dozen since last fall. I don't think they are releasing anything new this year, just cant compete with Titleist & Callaway at the $45 price.

Think about it, when was the last time that a ball was released mid-season?? Equipment is usually released at the very end of the season or before the season starts.

The Nike ONE balls are really nice. I love the ONE Tour. Many many people will not play them because they are not a Titleist or Bridgestone. If they did they might actually like the ball. I try to play all the balls of each new model just to compare what I have to what is new. I still like the ONE Tour and have gotten a couple other guys interested in them as well. $30 is a steal for a ball of this quality!

I wonder what these people would say if they knew the Nikes were designed by Rock Ishii (former Bridgestone engineer), use Bridgestone patents, and are made by Bridgestone?

I really like the One Tour (and the B330S).

But all that matters to them is what is stamped on the side...

i have been in love with the z star since playing with it. that said, i found a one black yesterday and played with it on a few holes where i was afraid i could lose my z star. holy crap that ball is completely the opposite of the z star. hard as a rock with no spin....or at least it seemed. it did go far though.

I was given a sleeve of the ONE Tour D balls and was hesitant to use them as I had not enjoyed any of the previous Nike offerings. However, I have to say that the Tour D is a pretty decent ball - and one that I would consider buying at $29 vs. paying $45 for a ProV1x.

Played the Tour D last weekend, I found really good distance and low spin on the driver. Hop and stop from my full wedges too. Spin around the green was good enough too (but not as much as a Pro V)

Taylormade M6, 9.0* head set -1.5*, Nippon Regio B+ shaft, 65 stiff at 45.5"
Cobra FLY Z+ 3 wood, orange, aldila tour blue stiff, 14.5*
Sub 70 939x, 3H(18*), Proforce V2 85 stiff
Sub 70 939x, 4H(21*), Proforce V2 85 stiff
Sub 70 699 Pros, 5-AW, Modus 120 stiff
PING glide 2.0, 54*

Taylormade MG3, 58* HB
Scotty Select Newport, 73* lie, 1* loft, 34" (Testing Taylormade Bandon 1)
Bridgestone Tour BX (Alternate ball VICE PRO)

The ONE Tour is a much higher spinning ball around and into the greens. The D is firmer and longer off the tee. It still has stopping power into the green but less than the ONE Tour around the green.

I played the One Tour last weekend when my friend gave me a sleeve after he bought it for $30. I loved it and how it reacted around the greens. So you're saying the one tour is similar to the one platinum? I loved the one platinum when they were on sale for $30 a dozen but I thought it was the lesser spinning one(that's what I get for not reading the box and just grabbing it because of the price  )

I bought 3 dozen Nike One Tour when Sam's Club was selling them at $13 a dozen. I had NEVER played them prior to buying them but figured they couldn't be that bad - a tour level ball for $1 each.

I was VERY impressed by this ball. I've played it a few rounds now and find it to be comparable to my "regular" balls of choice - TM TP Red LDP and Srixon Z Star. Nike spins a bit more but doesn't cost me distance with the driver or irons. Performs very well around the greens.

Last year I drew a line in the sand and said I wouldn't pay more than $40 a dozen for golf balls. I'll gladly play the Nike, TM and others at $30 a dozen or less. I've done quite well with the Sam's Club deal on Nike and the Wal Mart $21 per dozen deal on the TM TP Red LDP. :D

I bought 12 dozen tour D boxes on ebay for 19.50 each box. Really cant compare to Pro v1 which I used to play. The Pro V's will spin more but they will also burn a hole in your pockets. Even on EBAY they go for 40$ a box. Insane.

+1! I was buying logo overruns of prov for 35 a dozen! Yipes! I scored 2 dozen b330s for 50 and 2 dozen tour ix at wally for 40! I do miss the feel of prov, however the penta I played with was pretty close. I did really like the nike tour as well. Very straight off the driver and good feel off the irons. I buy what is cheap..like the bay for it..have a few saved sellers.

So the One Tour is like the TM TP Black and the One Tour D is like the TM TP Red? Is that correct?
[/quote]

Spin wise, yes. The Tour D and TP Black are both 3 piece balls and feel harder. The ONE Tour and TP Red are both 4 piece balls. There really isnt a direct comparison.
