[i]I have hit many drivers and nothing could knock out my old faithful Cleveland Launcher 460 out of the bag. Until I received this driver. I took a chance based on everyone elses reviews. Most people said that the head of this driver was great but many people did not like the stock RIP shaft. I found that the RIP 60X was perfect for me. My swing speed is best at about 114 and my launch angle was right where I wanted it to be. Finally a new driver to stay in the bag. Look forward to hitting it all season long. Great looking driver at address if you like the conventional head shape.

I was switching drivers constantly since I got tired of my Taylor Made R580 and the 9064LS ended my search. The best way to describe it is a good, honest, high quality driver. No gimmicks, a neutral face, amazing feel, satisfying sound, workable off the tee and loads of distance. It is also surprisingly forgiving for such a deep-faced head. I have the stiff shafted RIP Gamma and it is plenty of shaft for someone swinging between 95-105.

Absolutely great head. It launches high, is low spin and is super forgiving. It looks classic at address. No alignment aids. Just black and classic. I've got three so far and recommend that you match it with a lower launch, lower spin shaft that works with your swing.

I ordered on of these drivers a couple weeks ago. I got an 8.5 with the RIP alpha 60-x. I love the head but I am getting too much spin with the shaft. Any recommendations?

Graphite Design AD DI series, or DJ series. Also the older Aldila VS Proto is very good as well.

I really think if you had a 70 or 80g version it might work better. I had a 75x axiv green in a 9032 and it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe try tipping the shaft before venturing to something else? The RIP responds well to tipping.

I know this is the "LS" thread, but wanted to post an update on the 9064 head.

I've got 3, 2 5.5*LDs and an 8.5*LS. I love them all, but a few days ago, I flat spotted one of my LDs. These are supposed to have some kind of reinforcement? Hmm. Doubtful. Stronger welds, maybe. Not a stronger face. Not a chance. My LS has far more hits on it and seems to be holding up just fine. My LD had less than 20 hits on it and folded like an origami specialist.

I'm still a big fan of the heads, but just a little bummed that an LD head couldn't handle a mid-winter swing with a ton of rust on it.

driverwedge is a beast!!!! adams cover it I guess?

Thanks buddy! :friends: I certainly can be but didn't think I was at the time. Either way, I'm a bit hesitant on calling Adams on it as I didn't buy it from them. I'll probably call because it's always a "no" until you ask. Do you think they'll cover it? Honestly I think they'll tell me to pound sand. I guess I don't have anything to lose by calling!

I talked to one of my buddies and I think I am going to look at either an ahina 70-x or a YSQst. Any thoughts?

Ahina 70X for sure... smooth, stable, and low spin.

I have an Oban Devotion in a 9.5 head and feel it is a great combination. As was stated before, this is a no frills look at address and for some reason every other driver I have gamed I have tended to miss a fraction towards the toe based on wear marks but still in the sweet zone.

With this driver, the wear is right in the middle! Same length - maybe it is the black face but in any event, for me it instills confidence at address and workable that is a big factor for me.

This driver is a beast never would of thought to even try it. I'm a big Titleist junkie and struggled with my 909D3. My 9064ls has a Throttle LDA shaft in it and I was amazed at how easy it was to hit, I love the classsic shape from the top, very easy to hit too my misses are not big sliced like with my D3.

I'm writing this review after a couple months of use, keep in mind I'm not professional and I'm writing this review at 3am after being up for almost 15 hours already so I hope it makes since.

I live in Hawaii so I'm able to golf as much as my schedule allows and that’s anywhere from 1 to 3 days a week.

Driver type: 9064ls with a S Alpha shaft.

Looks: I love the all black look which makes the red eyes and graphics just pop out to me. The paint hold up well but the top line is suspect. Side note I talked to the Tour Rep at the Sony Open and he stated it is a real deal RIP Shaft.

Feel: For me, this is the best driver I have ever hit. Why? Well for one I can tell you exactly where the ball hits the face every single time (without looking at the face).

Heal shots: tend to be a little rough for a driver, feels like there is more vibration for me. It just feel as if you it the worst shot ever hit and you pay for it in distance. I'm not the longest hitters, so losing 15 to 20 yards is big deal.

Sweet spot: umh did I hit the ball. Wow look at it go. It just feels oh so good.

Off center toward the toe: they felt weird at first, but now that I use to it, it tends to be where I get the most distance from, who know maybe because when I do so, I get a slight draw with a little more roll out.

High on club face: once more I'm no pro but it seems as if the RPMs go through the clouds because the ball balloons.

Low on the club face: not sure about the spin but ball tends to be a stinger type shot with a ton of roll.

Sound: It’s a very soft muted sound to me. This is after coming from a Pro LD Cobra and old Nike and Cleveland HiBore drivers.

Spin rate for me: from my last driver I have went down around 1000 RPMs. I'm now it the low/mid 3000s (note: I’m not sure how accurate the launch monitors at Roger Dunn are).

Launch Angle: Mid launch which is very low for me (12 to 14 degree range). Again I’m not sure how accurate the launch monitors at Roger Dunn are.

Workability: I'm able to fade and draw the ball, also slice and hook the ball as goes with every driver. I never do the same thing from day to day so I go with what is working that day.

Roll Out: I get a lot of roll from this club, I would say anywhere from 20 to 30 yards at times.

Average distance for me is in the 250 to 265 range.

On a good day where the swing is smooth and in tempo and striking the ball well; 265 to 280

Longest drivers that I have had: I have been pin hi on a par 4 344 yarder (this is very rare but I did have a stout wind at my back). Besides that one time occurrence I have had several over 300 but again these are rare.

Into the wind: distance lost is not as drastic as past drivers due to the lower launch angle and spin rate.

Over all observation, if I would start practicing again, I would be more consistent and get that average up because this club will send it.

The one thing I do not like about this club is the neutral face. My old driver was 1.5 degrees open. Because of that I would hook the ball big time at first.

PROs: looks, feel, sound, distance on well struck shots, launch angle and spin rate,

CONs: top line, seem poorly constructed to me. Also heal shot tend to lose a lot of distance. And the neutral club face.

I recomend this driver to anyone!!! Great for long ball hitters, people that punch it 250 and anything inbetween. Great forgivness, and perfect club head shape. Only thing i have bad to say is the Aldila rip shaft (for me) it was too tip soft (then again i ordered the wrong stiffness) after reshafting with a grafolly prolaunch platinum x stiff this thing BOMBS i cant believe how hot the ball is of the face.

I can honestly say that I was about to the point of not EVER finding anything that could knock my original Exotics with Graman Limey shaft out of my bag.....until this club. Just the standard RIP shaft, for me, was perfect. Complete perfect driver. Super hot face, forgiving, workable and extremely low spin.

I couldn't believe how far I was hitting it into a 10-15 mph headwind. I played Kiva Dunes and both Craft Farms courses in Gulf Shores this week. My Exotics is officially retired. If I can hit it a 270 straight as an arrow, I'll take that all day long.

I recently traded in a set of irons and bought the 9064ls on a whim after hitting it in the simulator. Last night, my brother re-shafted it with an old Aldila NV 75 and we took it to the range today. All I can say is, WOW. I have a feeling that this driver has booted my Titleist 910 D3 right out of the bag! I love the deep face, which makes the head seem more compact at address and the look is very traditional (which is a must for this Titleist lover). I also love the feel, which is much softer and muted than the 910 D3. I'm hitting high bombs with this thing! What a great driver!

Such a consistent driver. Looks great at address to me. Bought this and an R11 same RIP gamma shaft, and no contest.

I bought this with a 9.5* head and the stiff Alpha.

It is contending with a 9015D 10.5* with a X stiff NV and a FT-Tour 9.5* with a stiff Voodoo for bag time and is holding it's own so far.

So far it's longer but I'm not used to it yet after one round and one driving range session. On miss hits it does seem to be 15-20 yards deeper than the other drivers on mishits. Note: I've been having a lot of miss hits lately.

My swing has taken a detour into the sewer lately so this is not a fair assessment yet.
