Taylormade M5 Irons - Anyone demo or play them?

Hello - Was wondering if anyone is playing the Taylormade M5 irons and how they compare to the Rogue Pros and the z585's. I did a search and couldnt find much info, everything is about the driver or fw's.

Please share your feedback on feel and distance. Thank you

I'm surprised you didn't get any comments on this topic. I've hit the m5 and was thoroughly impressed. However, I fell into the "looks" trap and went the p790 route when I truly wanted the m5. I finally called it quits on the p790 as they couldn't outperform my i200s so I traded them in for the m5's. Unfortunately, I got a ship date of May 26. That surprised me. Once I get them I'll give my thoughts here.

I didn’t hate the m5s and found them really long and forgiving—more like the Rogues than the Rogue Pros. If you like a forged club, the 585 will be hard to beat. If you want a touch more forgiveness and more shaft options, the Mizuno 919 HM Pros are unbeatable.

I’m curious as to people’s experiences with the M5 irons.

My irons are ready for me to pickup. Glad TM beat the original may 26 ship date. I hope to give them a hit Monday or Tuesday and I'll post my thoughts here.

Went to a fitting recently—bad knees and physical therapy have me up and down in form. Tried a number of clubs. Ended up with the M5s, to my surprise. Paired with Accra shafts. They beat out Srixon, Callaway, Mizuno heads. Tried a G410 but managed to bust it. The M5 and Callaway Rogue were close, but the M5 was a little more consistent for me. And I must say, they felt superb, better than any of the others, when hit solidly. Note that I don’t always him ‘em solidly, as I’m about a 13 hi. Will pick them up this week. We’ll see if reality and the fitting studio are anywhere close.

I had the Rogue Pros and sold them. Really regret this and can’t order another set. I have the z585 but prefer the Rogue Pros

The M5 look like the RPs at address this is why I’m looking for feedback

Have now played with my new M5s. Really enjoyed them. Felt really good on solid strikes. Went longer than expected. Usually hit my 7 iron about 150, but hit a 7 off the tee to the back of a very elevated green--distance was 160-165. Don't expect that I'll do that every time, but was fun to see. Really good distance, accuracy, and feel---very happy with them.

My 13 year-old son was fit into M5 irons at Club Champion yesterday. Look forward to seeing them in action once he gets them.
