Official WRX Gear Trials Event Thread: Results are in and Data live- Page 27

I've been using the G while the LTD collects dust in the corner, hitting it well and have been lazy about getting a DI tipped for the cobra. LTD has a chrome in it now. Went back to miles to redo the test between the two as a last ditch effort to like the LTD enough to actually play it, I will update with numbers when I get them but the LTD definitely won out again on distance. I was up in the 106-108 range after already playing 36 that day. The chrome is a garbage shaft and I'm pissed I even bothered taking it on the course and letting that sway my opinion on the driver as a whole

Follow up to this, sourced a black DI 6x for the cobra. 70/69/69, not the same course each day. It's 10 yards longer than the G at least and the X flex has straightened out my flight considerably. I'll post up the numbers from the above mentioned second trip to Miles shortly. I'll be playing a 6s in the early months and switching to the 6x as the weather warms up in years going forward. Anyone have a GP 6x they want to trade for a 6s let me know!

If you are referring to elements chrome as garbage I totally disagree. I guess I will stay away from trying DI then based on your comments.

Oh man, last years GT was a freakin' blast and a great learning experience too.

As far as whats in the bag, my driver remained the same but I moved into the HZRDUS as recommended with fantastic results.

I cant begin to describe just how great it was to be a part of the event and how great the whole GolfWRX crew was.

Thanks again GolfWRX for the opportunity

Still planning on heading north at some point and visiting your course Chad. Was definitely a pleasure meeting everyone - we all got along so well. No egos there at all and everyone had the same idea in mind. Was just an awesome experience from beginning to end.

Medic,

I remember arguing with you over something trivial in here about a year ago and just realized we had both blocked one another from sending or receiving messages. I was going to send you a PM on this matter but since blocked thought I'd just type it up in the General Forum. I'm pretty sure we righted the ship along the way with a few replies on some topics later on.

Anyway I just wanted to say I enjoyed your reviews and thoughts in here and on a whim recently purchased a Srixon F45 3 wood with a 757 speeder shaft and have to say I was blown away. I've finally filled out my bag and it probably wouldn't look like it does without your opinions and post about your Driver. The 3 wood has not been the go to club in the bag for the past 1.5 years, in fact I was avoiding it whenever possible. Now I'm locked in w the F45.

I've always enjoyed Cleveland wedges and purchased a set of 945's back in Dec. Since then I've dropped 1.2 off my GHIN and have become a mini ambassador of Srixon in the process. Wanted to share this as words, spoken or written, have consequences both good and bad and your opinions and pining about the Srixon driver, subconsciously had me hit the buy now button on the F45 recently. It was a blessing as my 2 year old search for that trusty 3 metal is now over. 71 and 6 birdies yesterday and extreme confidence on some tight par 4's where Driver is not the play has me no longer worrying about pulling that club. This entire String from this group influenced me in getting fit for a Driver Shaft back in early Jan and 2 weeks later won a very nice 4 ball event in Greensboro, while making 6 birdies, including 17 and 18 to win by one. Thanks for the positive post and wishing you satisfaction with the 335. With 12 0f 14 Srixon clubs in my bag, I suppose I'm an advocate for Srixon now.

Just wanted to say thanks and happy times.

Off to Orlando in the morning for work to enjoy some of that nice FL weather you guys get to enjoy daily down that way.

What the heck was I thinking? Completely forgot about our spat and the block. My apologies. And it's been corrected. Glad you love Srixon - nothing not to like in my book.

As for coming down here, bring some sunscreen! Definitely has been hot over the past two weeks or so - 84 today and lots of sun. Have a blast while here and if you want some recommendations on hidden jewel courses let me know. We are very fortunate golf course wise, believe me.

Safe travels. And keep them in the short grass.
