Srixon Z585 Replacement this Year?

I have that wedge. I ordered it from Japan. I agree with you about the shape, but the feel is incredible. Better than pretty much any wedge I've hit.

Hey everyone, longtime lurker but had to join to ask this. I demoed a stock Z785 7 iron recently, and I freaking loved it. Best iron looks and feel-wise. Was planning on getting new irons in September-November and they are the clear favorites. Learning now that a new line might be out right when I plan to buy, would you recommend grabbing the Z785s while custom orders for those are still available or wait for the new stuff to get custom fit? Also, will there be a price drop like we are seeing in the woods now for the irons prior to the new line being introduced? Thanks in advance

I just ordered my set yesterday. Price is dirt cheap right now. I don't think waiting longer will be any advantage to you other than saving a few more bucks. Plus you will no longer be able to custom order. They will also be out of stock soonish. New line is already on this forum. Tech in the this type of irons won't change that much.

I have the Z585 irons. Very performing irons. I am not planning to replace them until 4-5 years.

I recently switched to a Srixon ball from Titleist, and I'm very happy with the results. The clubs look very good, but I have a hard time finding them.

I realize the zx5 have not been the biggest hit on here so far since the pics were released, but I personally like the look and am excited to try a combo set with the zx7

I am looking forward to seeing the finished product on these. The outline is there, clearly adding more weight low and in the toe, but I would expect the final product to be much more finshed in terms of detailing.

 

Now the decision begins... to wait, or grab a set of 85s with a discount.
