Hey, as long as you follow their rules for attire on the course when you're on the course, and their rules for attire on the remainder of the grounds when you're not on the course, who am I to argue?

There are certain expectations no matter where you go about "appropriate behavior." There are also no motorcycle trails there, but if a guy brought his, where else is he to get a little riding in other than on the dunes, right? If you go to the Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island, dinner is formal wear - ties, etc.

Their attire policies are pretty clear:

Gentlemen must wear shirts with collars and sleeves, short or long.

Ladies’ shirts must have sleeves if it does not have a collar. Tank tops and halter tops are not permitted.

Of course the simp argument is "Well, that's on the course!"

I don't know of a single resort anywhere that has dress codes that are identical for every part of the property. So yes, the golf course dress code is very clear, but it may not apply elsewhere. I'm not going to assume that a woman wouldn't be allowed to wear a sleeveless collarless shirt to dinner, even though she is explicitly forbidden to wear that same shirt while playing golf. I'm not going to assume that guests at the Lodge are forbidden to get a tan during their stay. I just don't know, and neither do you. As I've said, I expect people to follow whatever dress codes an establishment has. If the bikini-woman was violating the establishment's requirements, it would have been appropriate for management to politely ask her to dress appropriately. And if someone was offended by her sunbathing, it would have been appropriate to ask the management to take some action. I'm just not all that bothered by it.

If I was golfing I would of come off the 18th and ask her for her autograph. If not standing O from balcony and then autograph.

And honestly I think it's okay. Unless she was wearing one of those string things then it could have gotten interesting.
