2017 Titleist Pro V1x vs Left Dash

Just opened my last dozen of 2017 Titleist Pro V1x’s. I’d like to stay with a similar ball. Current Pro V1x model or left dash?

Id say left dash...firmer feel with lower spin than retail prov1x...the new x also is a higher spinning ball...in 2017 it was the lower spinning of the two(pro v1x vs pro v1). My opinion in the other thread is the left dash is basically the same as the new pro v1x except for feel. The 2017 x was a great ball

While I agree with your conclusions regarding the Left Dash, since at least 2013 Titleist has advertised the Pro V1x as having higher iron and wedge spin than the Pro V1.

Back in the 2000's, they touted the Pro V1x as lower spin (but it wasn't clear back then whether they meant all clubs or just driver). Not sure about 2009 or 2011 but through at least 2007 that was the case.

I first became a regular Pro V1x user with the 2013 version and have stuck with it through 2015, 2017 and 2019. In 2013 they were definitely saying the same basic messaging about Pro V1 vs. Pro V1x as they have in the three later versions. Pro V1x feels firmer, flies higher and spins more off irons and wedges than Pro V1.

On the original question, I'd say for my game I can't distinguish any difference in Left Dash or regular 2019 Pro V1x except for the noticeably firmer feel. Both balls go the same distance, have the same ball flight and react the same around the green. I'd expect a higher clubhead speed player than myself might notice additional differences in spin but I don't.

ProV1x left Dash is perfect for AVX players who want a firmer ball with more green side spin.

110 driver ss here and i can tell a noticeable difference between v1x and left dash. Left dash to me is noticeably less spinning throughout the whole bag and get about a half club longer with my irons. spin progression in my opinion from most to least would be V1X, V1, Left Dash, then AVX. Now Left dash has the firmest sound/feel and avx being the softest with V1X and V1 being in the middle. My normal ball is V1 and cant play the V1X because i zip them off the greens too much and if there is a sloping back to front green forget about it that ball is zipping off the green. Left Dash has a great hop and stop into greens that i have been really loving lately and have been using that ball exclusively the last few weeks since i got my hands on some. I dont care for AVX because it feels like a marshmallow for me and i feel i lose some distance with that ball compared to the others.
