What exactly is his iron mix? Looks like an MB 3 iron, but a Rocketbladez 4 & 6, and then back to the MB for the shorts.

... And someone won a major event with it. And second place had a very similar bag. Imagine that
Then again, you had top notch players with them. Then again, I'm sure the pay from TM to play their gear is any more than any other OEM. And these guys could basically play what they want, but choose TM

Reality is, Taylormade is on top because their gear performs. Yes they market the crap out of the "consumer grade" equipment. So what! It's the profits from the lower end gear that funds the research that keeps them producing products that produce

Crap. I know now I'm right in the middle of another TM bash
[/quote]

Well said.

I think their marketing is great. It doesn't suit us (GolfWRX 0.0001%) of the golfing world but the weekend warriors eat up all the TaylorMade epuipment they can because they see it everywhere !!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly assume this post was completely tongue-in-cheek. Everybody says post after post how "bad" TM products are, yet a major was just won using equipment that we have seen page after page ad-nauseum about how every piece of equipment is junk in that bag.

That doesn't look like a 7 iron MB sticking up in his bag.

Obviously attempted satire. The irony of the "tin can" comment is that, since this is the V2, it does NOT sound like a tin can at all. We would LOVE to have access and be able to buy that club. Furthermore, we would LOVE to be able to try those Rocketbladez F's. I know your point is that TMAG gets made fun of and yet the guy still won the open, but most of the criticism isn't really about the quality of their stuff. It's mostly fine. This does point out two contentious points of criticism, namely, that he plays versions of clubs we don't have access to (and would like). Nice try though.

I'm pretty sure none of the guys on the PGA Tour are saying "Oh look at that guy, he plays TMaG!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!!!"

They don't, because THEY MAKE QUALITY EQUIPMENT. No one is saying otherwise. That's why this post is so pointless. It starts with a false premise: That the "haters" think TMAG makes crap. No serious person thinks that. I dislike all the tour only stuff, think the marketing is a bit over the top (but mostly harmless), think they have some deceptive practices, wish they'd bring the TP badge back, and wish they'd make some more player's irons. This satire doesn't really address any of that. There is a reason why you can't make satire about that other stuff: It's legitimate criticism. There isn't this vast conspiracy out there to bring down TMAG. As the top dog by far, their practices affect the entire industry. I disagree with some of them. I am not alone. I wish they'd improve.

If you take a close look, you can see that he's got more than 14 clubs in the bag in the photo attached to this post. Pretty sure this is from earlier in the season, so he was likely doing some testing at the time the image was taken.
