You make it sound easy. We shall see. I know one thing for sure is that he won't be doing anything until forced into it, he is completely dependent on it to compete. Personally I can't wait til 2016 to see the tour rid of this blight on the game. I know there are plenty of quality guys using them and it will be tough to watch them fall,, but it has to happen.

That Steelhead Plus was [b]hot[/b]! Between that and the seamed ProV of the same era, you could catch one that would fly 30 yards further if you weren't careful.

Tim Clark has always been a favorite of mine. I love his grittiness. I unfortunately think the anchor ban will effect Tim as much or more than anybody. For 1.) because of his physical limitation and 2.) because he has been using the anchor putter for so damn long. I hate to say it and I hope I am very wrong but I don't see him winning many more if any. The game has passed him by in terms of length and power. He can realistically only compete on a handful of courses these days. Like I said I hope I'm wrong and I hope he goes on a tear. He is a great guy and has persevered throughout his entire career. I see him as an overachiever. A guy that most thought would never make it to the next level out of college. He certainly has had a wonderful career despite only two wins on the PGA tour.

Amazing. Probably the two oldest clubs in a person's bag on Tour. I LOVE it. And even more-so with that stock shaft in that Cally. So cool. Just goes to show hackers you don't have to have $2K in gear to play well.

I read an article from when he was with Srixon, that he hits the Callaway Steelhead around 230 yards. The Rescue Dual 19° around 210 yards.

I like Tim and his game very much. He has Jay Haas Jr. on his bag, whom I know personally. I was really happy to see him win but I think some of the comments concerning his game are a little bit off. He is NOT one of the longer players on tour but it doesn't bother him. He hits his long irons as well as anyone out on tour and I'd go on to say even better than most. Tim has a really level head which gives him an advantage, I think. John Daly hits it a mile but can't win a golf tournament anywhere. He can't even make a cut. My point is, his head ain't level, so how does hitting it 350 benefit him? I will agree that there are some courses that are better suited to his game than others (7250 + yards) but to say he "can't compete" on the longer courses is inaccurate. Tim's game reminds me a bit of Brian Gays.
I do agree that it will be interesting to see how he fares with a short putter. He started with one so the transisition back shouldn't be alien. I'll be honest and admit that I bought several "long" putters. Belly putters. Chest putters. Chin putters. I never got the hang of it. I couldn't make a one footer with one. My experiment was horrendous. I think, if the PGA wants to make putting more difficult, the PGA should make EVERYONE use one. Now that would be a sight. I guarantee that the "usual" winners won't be usual anymore. I understand he is working "diligently" with Dave Pelz. I've always like Tim Clark is the Major Championships unless it's a U.S. Open at a course like Bethpage's "Black" course. Just reaching the fairways, on a few holes, require you to be able to bump it out there 265 - 270 CARRY to reach fairways. I do think he will win a green jacket. Augusta National sets up perfectly for him and he plays the course very well. Of course, all that comes back to putting. To say the ban will "ruin" him or his game or it will "expose" him, etc are a bit premature if not completely off. For me? I will just wait and see but personally, I think he will be just fine.

Any update on this guy? Is he injured or having major issues with the anchor ban... Or both?
