walking is imo much faster as long as the green to tee sections arent terribly long. my 3some regularly plays in 2:45-3 hours walking.
crappy golf, lack of fast play techniques and disregard for others persons time lead to long rounds, not walking.

LOL!! At my local muni that's Tony and he works on the grounds crew. He's about a 20hc straight and about a 10hc on herbal supplements. My Summer twilight rounds are forever changed! Unlike him my handicap goes the other direction when we partake. I give him 5 strokes and we have had some good matches. I like when he works because I know its free golf for me and good times with good down to earth everyday people.

How about when you see divots in the fairway 10" long and 4" deep and the huge chunk of sod laying there 3ft away (of course they never replace it, probably because they broke their wrist)?
