ST Louis MO fitters and club builders

I am going to do a complete iron and driver fitting soon and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the St Louis area.

 

I am currently playing 712 AP2 3-W and a 913D2. I am hoping to just tweak these as opposed to buying a new set...maybe.

 

Anyone familiar with opinions in the area please let me know. I was thinking of going to Golftec.

GolfTec is what it is, I don't want to slam the guys personally but they have 3 locations in town and I think 2 PGA Professionals out of the bunch. Not to say the other guys are not going to do you right but I have never been impressed with them. Mike Cummings runs the Chesterfield location and he was a heck of a sales rep for 25 years, and is probably still a good fitter but not sure he is exactly what you are looking for. To my knowledge not all fitters there will even bend your stuff.

John Kelly is the most notable strictly club fitter in town http://jkellygolf.com/, I personally don't like the way he does things but that's just my opinion.

If you are out west the guys at The Falls Golf Club are pretty solid, good fitters, quick, and a really big range.

Dale Boggs and Michael Wyatt over at GolfPort in Maryland Heights do a pretty good job as well.

If you are just looking for a lie adjustment on the irons, honestly anyone can do that, messing with the driver is another thing, finding someone you like dealing with is the most important thing to me.

If you want to take a drive Jake Poe at Perche Creek in Columbia is one of Titleist's regional fitting centers.

Contact member on here, Dscvrr St Louis. His name is Leif and he works part time at one of the GGs in town. I know him personally and he knows his stuff. I know big box stores get a lot of flak, but he's one of the good ones people will actively seek out when looking to get fit or get opinions on anything.

Leif (dscvrstl) on here works at the Chesterfield location. He is good guys and very knowledgeable about clubs. He won't try to sell you any thing either.

M. WYATT is a good guys also. I have got playing lessons from him.

I usually get hold of JOHN Kelly when I got some club building done I want to make sure it is right. He likes to try and sell high end jdm stuff. Did let me hit his epon 501. That were very nice. I might go to him for a driver fitting later this spring.

Leif and John are both great. Really can't go wrong.

Guess I would like to add that I would use John a lot more if he sold Ping. I got invited to the headquarters and got the tour so I usually stick with them.

Think John sells JDM, Titliest, callaway, taylormade and a few others.

Pretty sure John has trackman, but it's been awhile.

And I think he recommended playing some rounds to get your swing tuned if before the fitting, but maybe that's because I suck. Lol

Looking for someone that might be able to help me take a .370 hybrid shaft and fit it into a .355 driving iron.
