Any Reviews of Ben Hogan Polos (WalMart)?

I noticed in a few other threads that Ben Hogan polyester shirts are available at Wally World for $15-20. Does anyone have any real-world experience with these polos? The styles are actually pretty nice online, but it seems like one of those "to good to be true" scenarios.

 

Are these shirts a diamond in the rough?

I only wear them as they have a great selection of Big & Tall sizes. They are the best value in performance golf shirts and look and perform great. I highly recommend them.

Yes I'll have to agree they are a very good deal, seem to be a good quality shirt at a very good price. I am not a big WalMart fan but I bought one last year after reading about them on here. Wore it a lot, nice feel and it held up great. But I couldn't find them for a long time at any of our local stores, and could not find the sizes or styles I needed online. But they are back again this year and I have already bought a couple more. The designs are pretty good, and I don't think you can buy a similar quality performance type golf shirt for double the price of these.

I bought one recently. They are pretty good. They have some loud designs, but I prefer the quiet ones. For the price, they can't be beat. My only complaint is that they have a pretty typical Walmart fit, which is to say not very athletic. I'm usually something like a smallish medium. The medium Ben Hogan is a tent on me, and the small is a bit tight in the chest.

Also, these aren't available in Canadian Walmarts, which is kind of a pain.

Wal Mart has stepped up their clothing game! I remember in elementary school when my mom mentioned Wal Mart and clothes in the same sentence, I was going girlfriendless for another year. The Ben Hogan line is great! Tons of variety and awesome prices. Even their Wal Mart brand tech golf apparel is pretty nice. Awesome for budget golfers like me!

How are the fit on the pants. I'm between a 38" and 40" and at that size I have to worry about them getting too baggy

I wear a 40. Bought some off the rack and brought them home. They were realllllllly tight. This was a pair of shorts.

The Ben Hogan line is pretty good at Wal-Mart comparing to most Brands in the industry. The apparel is made through Perry Ellis. I would suggest everyone try the heather polo (also know as cat dyed). It's an expensive yarn that is put in that polo.

I also recommend the Russell Athletic heather performance t-shirts for working out. It is the same yarn as the Nike Pro Legend Tee which sells for $22 and the Russell is $9.44.

I have 1 BH shirt from WM.

It looks like a Travis Mathew horizontal band strip shirt and it is very comfortable. The problem, though, is that it is very very wrinkly and the pattern part looks like its being pulled in a million directions from the rest of the shirt. Really weird. This only happened after washing it in the washing machine 2-3 times.

Any feedback on the fit of the pants? I prefer the 34 on length but can do a 32 in Under Armour and Nike but Adidas a 32 is too short and looks funny.

Also how do they fit in the waist? Big, small, etc

I agree. I have a couple pair of the shorts and I had to size up one size.

Hogan brand clothing is under the Perry Ellis umbrella so QA is probably good one would assume. Polos are quite nice even here in S. Fla where it is brutal in the summer. I love the shorts!!

I bought one or two when I was on vacation lately.

Quite happy with them as the quality seems to be more than o.k. and no loss of shape or color after washing them.

I have always bought Hogan Dri-Fit Golf shirts Great Price and Great Colors too.........Walmart just started carrying George Dri-Fit Golf shirts in Kid Sizes as well..........just saying.

After reading about them on here, I went to Wally and picked up a good looking shirt, XXL, and a pair of 40 shorts, khaki. $16 apiece, $32 outfit.

Shorts fit great and feel great. The shirt was nice for the first wearing, but I haven't found it again in my vast shirt collection. Maybe I'll check the basement.

For those that think "looking nice" on the course is "too expensive" Wal Mart has destroyed that argument. No logos. Just a good looking shirt and nice khaki shorts. You can play anywhere in that. I bought my son, who wears 30 shorts, 3-pairs. For $16, he can wear them on the course, out messing around, or rip them to shreds. I'll just buy more at that price.

I'm kicking myself that when I was in Florida in February the Walmart I went to had the Hogan shorts for $10 apiece and I didn't purchase them.

I never thought I'd have to find a dressing room at WalMart.

Based on this thread, bought 4 Ben Hogan polos yesterday, and wore one today for a twilight 9. Was probably warmer than I had expected, and the shirt was fantastic. Would buy more in a heartbeat. heckuva deal, for sure. Great quality, too.
