Any Reviews of Ben Hogan Polos (WalMart)?

Never in a million years did I think I would ever be buying golf apparel at wal-mart but the Hogan polos are an absolute steal. Great product!

I like the feel of the heathered Hogan shirts. Wish they had more colors to choose from.

Sean. I agree and disagree. The name no longer means anything and is now to the level of being sold in Wally World. But at the this could possibly resurrect the name. My walmart sells them well and we are not in any way the Mecca of golfers.

So maybe this will make the name last a little longer or maybe even make a stance for a comeback. They do have a couple of guys on tour wearing it. I think the Australian guy that won a few weeks/months ago maybe?

I had seen the Hogan shirts and I compared them to the George by brand name I believe that Walmart says they are moisture wicking .;......I thought the Walmart brand offered a shirt that was better quality , had more color and stripe design , moisture wicking and they were less expensive ... and I had the Walmart shirts before the Hogan shirts became available and to me they looked more durable , overall was a comfortable fitting shirt and now for a 11.99 price ..if the colors fade , gets a stain that wont come clean , if the stitching comes lose I can throw them away and buy another one

Here in my neck of the woods, we only have the George brand in solids and none of the bright colors .. My son has some in the super bright a yellow and teal and aquas. All I have is black, navy, white and red. That's about it.

I went to Nordstrom Rack today to see what they might have. I love shopping at the Rack. I'm looking through all the shorts, Nike, Pebble Creek, Travis Mathew, Adidas. Nothing really under $25.

I couldn't pick anything up. The Hogan shorts, which I love, are $16 every day at Wally. The Rack is going to have to lower prices even more to get my dollars. I've worn the Hogan shorts at least 5 times since I've gotten them, washed them 5 times, and they are still perfect. Based on price/performance/comfort, they are easily my favorite shorts.

I had on my Haggar Cool 18 shorts on Monday. Wow. It felt like I was wearing jeans the weight was so significant. When I was sweating, I couldn't even get my wallet out of my pocket. I haven't had that problem with the Hogans. I wish I could find the Hogans in black and white. That'd replace my Cool 18s.

Is Hogan going to make a hybrid board short? I'd give that a try.

Both Wal-Marts I've been to here have what I think are the hybrid shorts for $23. The price makes me think I'm looking at the wrong stuff.

I really don't see how I could wear board shorts though. For golf, yes, as there are belt loops and I could put a belt on it. But for swimming? With no drawers? I doubt I'd be swimming with a belt on, and without a drawstring, just a button and zipper seems like any diving or getting out of the pool would drop them.

I may need to do a test fit, but I haven't found my size, or a design in my size, that I would wear on the course. I'm hoping to soon as Wally is going to be closing everything out before the end of summer I assume.

I found a pair of Travis Mathew shorts at the Rack that were REALLY light and has the mesh pockets inside. Unfortunately, they were $40. That's like 2 Hogan shorts and 1/2 a Hogan shirt.

Not to bring up the Hybrid short post in this forum, but these are what we are talking about, right? Even online they are $16 whereas at my (closest) Wal-mart they are $23. Weird.

Hogan shorts are extremely comfortable and I've been wearing them for 2 years. LOVE THEM and the best deal out there.

I just picked up a heather UA shirt for $60 not too long ago. Love it. Then I'm strolling through WalMart and see basically the exact same shirt for $14. Incredible value but unfortunately my WallyWorld only carried them in 3XL sizes...

Sorry to revive an old thread but I live in Vancouver Canada and go to the Walmart in Bellingham,WA at least once a month and one day I noticed a dark grey Hogan shirt for $11 US. I bought it on a lark. Wore it for a few rounds on really hot days and loved it so much, bought 2 pairs of BH pants, 2 pairs of shorts and one more shirt for $95. For that kind of money, I'd only would have enough for a name brand shirt (Nike, UA, Adidas) and not enough for much else.

 

I couldn't afford real golf shirts that the pros wear on TV since it's too expensive and wanted to take advantage of its tech but I'm glad that Wally World offers them at a fraction of its cost.

Sweet! Purchased one this morning while I was at Walmart shopping for groceries. Material feels nice and the fit is good. Will give it a go on Wednesday. I haven't bought anything without a Swoosh on it for over 5 years........lol. But for $11 it is worth the test.

I totally agree. And, the length of the Hogans are perfect for me. I had to have the Cool 18s altered (shortened) to fit me. Just wish there were more colors in the Hogan shorts.

I have 3 shirts, silky material. They wick, fit well. Paid $17 each and they're worth double that. Great shirts.
