Rory's instagram photo of a "New" Nike 2 iron?? Updated with in-hand photos

I would imagine it;s forged, nothing on the clubs says it is forged, but knowing Nike, and if it really is replacing the Covert Forged.

We can assume the MM proto will be as well.

Full set please!! Love my Covert Forged. But if there's one thing they could improve is the overall look from address. They're a bit chunky, but totally playable. Great iron, no doubt.

Yeah, if they look anything like the tweeted pic's and not as chunky. I hope they fit in between the CF and the PC. Forgiveness of the CF and feel and playability of the PC!

I think it is pretty clear the heads are forged. Take a look at the head at the right edge of the picture in post 53. You can nearly read every letter of FORGED on that hosel if you enlarge.

Looks like Rory was testing the whole set today, according to the @nikegolf instagram and they used the #mmproto hashtag.

Rory and the rest of the staffers will still test all prototypes to give feed back to nike.
I believe it's a full set since his 2 iron is all ready dialed in.

Why don't you sign up and get involved with the Nike player testing program. Nike will test quite frequently at the Leonard range.

Forgive me if this has already been posted but spec sheet clearly says "MM Proto Blades"

The question I have is there 2 versions or 3 versions of the club.

We know blade and Rory's 2 iron.

Are the pocket cavities a separate version or just part of the progression?

I think we have at least two sets. Henley's spec sheet says "Blade 3-PW" like you pointed out. The pics of Noh testing show that club to be "Blade-like" all the way through the set, much like the pic of the irons for Henley.

The proto 2 iron pic appears to show much more of a cavity or at least a polymer filled slot. Maybe more of a Pro Combo or Covert Forged replacement type set with this tech all the way through.

This is kind of what I'm thinking too. Perhaps a combo set is in the works with the polymer in the X-6 iron and the 'blade' in the 7-PW. Color me impressed.

Can't wait to see what other irons are coming. I agree with you guys. The full set of Rory's 2 iron is likely the new PCs. And Noh's / Henley's are the new blades. Very curious if there will be a new, slimmer Covert Forged (or something along those lines).
