Sorry, it was only meant as half sarcastic. The other half was really curious as to how a half degree would effect gapping

Love the set up he has with the blades and AP2 3 iron. The new 915s look damn good. Great classic shaft there too, love the 7A_ and 8A__ shafts.

Sorry early morning and no caffeine. I really want a 19 degree hd to slot in behind my 4 iron when I drop the 3 iron some rounds. With this at 17.5 I can adjust to 19. With the 913 I can go to 18.75 or 19.5. Splitting hairs here I know, but I like having peace of mind.

Very nice bag obviously, but getting a concern here. I just start feeling at ease with my 913 wood line and now, I NEED to see those 915, try them, see the real effect of the ARC technology, and...get the right conclusion. Arrggllll!!!

If you read further I explained this too, as peace of mind. Standing over the ball I never want to think about my equipment or what it is set at. I just want to stand there knowing if I put my swing on it I will get the shot I want.

Since apparently the reply police are out in force, be prepared.

The 3+ (lots of companies do this) is a stronger lofted 3. In this case, the 3+ is set at 13.5* of loft. The older standard for 3w was about 15. That's still a benchmark used today, mostly.

So this is around 1.5* stronger than standard, or at least labeled as such.

So, since I got in trouble for establishing that 1*=roughly 3 yards of distance, you can assume that the 3+ is going to be going about half a club further than the 3...all things being equal.

For instance, Taylormade calls their stronger-lofted FW a Tour Spoon.

If we're being precise, your reply doesn't address the gapping situation, which is why I clarified it. Peace of mind doesn't really relate to the physical change or the practical impact of different lofts.
