I'm really diggin' my equipment Pigs. I've never had more confidence with a driver, and I'm beginning to feel really comfortable with my hybrids and irons. Fairway woods have always been a struggle from the 'short grass' but my 4 wood is fighting to maintain its spot in the bag. The 949 mc that I ordered prior to the start of the wager has been swallowed by Canada Customs and I'm pleased that the 4 wood is performing admirably.

Experienced a cool moment this morning. Long par 5 into a stiff headwind. 919 driver finds the fairway, 775 3 hybrid leaves me 105 yards out, 560 PW lands an inch from the cup and jumps left into the hole. Second eagle that I've earned from the fairway this past year. Still searching for the elusive hole in one. I will find her with this set of clubs. I can feel it.

The only change I will entertain is a putter, but I'm only going to purchase if I receive a proper fitting.

I did have one splurge today. G64 turned me on to a ball deal at Golf Town. I picked up 7 dozen Wilson Staff Tour balls this morning at $17.95 each. I'm stocked for the foreseeable future. Score.

I live in Southwestern Ontario and root for the Winged Wheel. I'd root for the Habs if I was forced to pick a Canadian team. I generally take an anyone but the Leafs approach when all else fails.

Not much golfing going on here lately but have been at the soccer field every night this week trying to break in the jaws sand wedge, its growing on me but I haven't had it on course yet. Hopefully this weekend

I've come close twice this year and both were thinned shots. I've also had near misses in the early morning hours playing as a single.

When I jar one it will be a thinned shot with no one there to see it. I'll smile, pick my ball up out of the cup, and attempt to continue my round.

I was playing a mid-afternoon round at my home course. I came upon a foursome and they asked me to play through. They had already hit their tee shots. I teed off and my ball rolled next to one of their balls in the fairway. Our balls were touching. If that wasn't odd enough, when I reached down to see which ball was mine I discovered that they were both Wilson Staff Tours. Seriously! We discussed the slim odds of that happening. I mark all of my balls with a clover so there was no issue. Finished the hole and carried on.

My last Wishon purchase of the year is 'out for delivery' as I type this. 17.5* 949 mc with Wishon s2s White Shaft. Tembo, I'm not done yet. I'm going to try and convince Kadin to take me on a trip to meet Tom Wishon in the future. This wager (and the money that I'll save) has my wife entertaining the thought. My Wishon journey is far from over, but for now I will have to live vicariously through you : )

Not a chance. The shipment I'm waiting on contains a 775 hs hybrid for a friend. After borrowing my 4 hybrid over the course of a few weeks he was hooked. Kadin's work and Tom's product speak for themselves.

I'm about 3 1/2 hours away and G64 is about 2 1/2 hours away. Stratford is beautiful. If you are ever making the trip and want to set up an outing I'm game. Round of golf, lunch, and an early evening Shakespearean play. Fabulous.

The 5 wood and shafts have made a safe arrival and will be built by tomorrow.

Here's a question . . .

I've been having severe elbow pain this summer and I'm wondering if this discomfort is connected to my move from graphite to steel. I've tried Prosoft inserts and new grips to dampen vibration, but to no avail. Am I locked in with shafts until April 1st or can I explore options?

This is not a desire to hoe more product, but rather a desire to alleviate pain so that I can continue to practice/play.

What say you?
