Does anyone have any information for these irons? Allied Golden Classic Pro Forge. They are in mint condition. I am thinking these are the common store line.

Just reshafted with S300s. Some pretty ropey and had already been reshafted with regulars before I got hold of them. Great clubs to use.

There's been a partial set of the 915s for sale on the local auction site down here. Every time I'm tempted I remember that the chances of acquiring the missing clubs are pretty much nil.

Nah - they're the mid-60s models unfortunately. You can see them listed at the link I posted for jonnyg above.

Going to take a look at a set of Macs (3-PW) MC 060 and a Hogan Berttinardi BHB-5 CC today. The asking price is $50 though. Reasonable???

You may have already done some research. CC = Carbon steel. Comps on eBay range from $84 -$160 (!). Seems to be a decent value at $50 (plus the irons, although they don't appear to be "pro" line). Particularly if you want a player. Partial to the "Dalehead" style look (bumpers).

Still trying to decide what do do with the BHB1-XA putter. Play or flip. That reality is I putt better with a mallet, no matter how much I try to get along with blade style. Have way to many of that style (8802, Anser) that I wave all over the place on > 6' putts. LOL.

 

The one putter that I've toyed with for over 2+ years is a Odyssey Versa #7. Not one to mention to loudly around these parts. But seemingly sets up and rolls perfectly for me. Even if it is awful looking.

Thanks for the input everyone. I can always count on getting some solid information from this thread. I did come across the same thread for the BHB putters Fella. The Mac MC registered 060 irons are not the pro line but they appear to be decent irons. I'll be looking at the clubs later today.

Hogan BHB5-CC

 

Also came with Mizuno bag, TM Firesole PW, New Ram R44 oil can GW, Pinnacle 1, 3, 5 wood, 8 new sleeves of Ram FX soft balls, Tan Tara golf covers (1,3,5).

Set of really beat up Hogan Power Thrusts (2-9) - almost a complete matched set except for missing the 6+ iron (boo hoo). Couldn't leave them at the store, even though they wanted $4/club.

 

No pics until I try and save them in spring - they are rough! At least all still have the TT Rocket shafts in them.

Am not sure there ever was a matching "Wingback" PW to these MacGregor MCs.

 

The Bettinardi Ben Hogan putter with Royal Grip is outstanding.

I picked up a Mizuno RSF BeCu Wedge to play with my Cimarrons. Tried it out on the range today and love it!

Well, here is the PTs. This 8i is very typical of the rest of the set. Of course, the 2&3i are in better shape, but the 9i is worse.

Another great CL find. A local ad selling a large collection of classic clubs, 2 4-runner loads. The person selling had a PGA pro that contact him and asked for some help, he had all these clubs and wondered if he would buy them from him,. The person selling them on CL just wanted his money back as he is not a collector and was just trying to help out his friend, and golf teacher.

 

I had a wonderful time just talking to the person selling. He is a huge Hogan fan so we had a lots in common and he had met Hogan, thats a very unique and inspiring story for another posting... we both had tears in our eyes!!

 

Lots of great clubs, Hogan personal iron set in box, Power bilt commerative in display boxes. Hogan precision in a Hogan by Burton bag, Kangaroo leather with matching headcovers and raincover. mac 693, 945

Over 100 hickories, a couple sets, the best hickory set is a D. Anderson & sons St Andrews, made in Scotland 9 clubs,1iron thru mashie niblic, beautiful condition, Just need to resets heads as a few are loose, several Hickory woods, a couple hick sets, about 40 hickory putters

Several nice sets of Spalding and Macgregor, Most of the clubs were the pros personal sets and he had Neuman leather grips put on almost all the sets of woods and irons!!

He also had some personal items I am going to sell for him, 2 new Mizuno bags and 2 new Taylormade bags. A set of one year old Nakishima irons. he paid $200 per club, the bag was 350!!
