Spent some time at the range with my 2.0 and Pro w s+blue w x flex. I really liked the pro over my 2.0. I don't have numbers to back this up but the pro head felt nicer. I tried the kk tini shaft in my Pro and I thought it was to harsh and did not give me the launch angle id like. The pro launched higher but didn't balloon. I liked the lower swing weight which I didn't think I would. It's easy to work the ball both ways. For being rusty I held up ok. After reading lots of the comments I thought I'd prefer the kk in the pro but so far I'm happy with the Blueboard. If these drivers lose a yard or two compared to the competition I don't really care. At the end of the day I hit far enough and at some point you can't go any further. Hitting consistently where you want to and finding fairways is what really matters.

I have that shaft in the original Covert performance and love it. I was thinking of buying a vapor pro off the rack and throwing that shaft in it, so I would like to know how that combo works out for you. I'm leaning towards getting fit at demo day on an outdoor range in May, although it's killing me to wait.

Nice, i have a Project X shaft in my VrPro and love the shaft, if you dont like that shaft ill definitely give you your $47 back and some to get that into my flex.

I have the Proj X Black in my CT 2.0 and it was fantastic, I am going to try it in my Pro once I have time.

I spent some time hitting the Flex 3 wood with the stock S+ 70 Stiff today. Set at 15 N.

The club felt really good at contact. Pretty hot feeling IMO. But it felt really lightweight. I don't know if it needed a heavier shaft or more head weight, but it felt off compared to my VR Ltd 3 wood. Distance was good though.

Bummed but I don't think the Pro is going to last long in my bag. I've now had it for 36 + 9 hole and few buckets at the range, and I just cant get comfortable with it. One of the first thing I noticed when I got the Pro was how light it felt in my hands and I'm struggling to make a good swing with it. The feel/sound is amazing and I love the Volt, but its not working for me. I thought it was me but I played this morning with the 910 D2 and I was driving it much better. Granted I've had the 910 a lot longer so there is familiarity with it but I've loved/felt comfortable with the VPC irons since day one and still loving it. I've always played better with the larger/shallower heads so I might pick up the Speed version but I really wanted to make the Pro work. I might get a heavier shaft for the Pro but as it stands now, I don't have much confidence with it on the tee box.

I think I'm going to wait until the G30 LS is out and I'll test that against the Speed with the D+ to see if either one of those work better for me (i wasn't a huge fan of the 915 D2 but I was so set on picking up the Pro i really didn't spend a lot of time with it).

If any of you are interested in my "lunch break indoor" Golf Town assessment, I have a few more thoughts
sorry its not a trackman outdoor event, w tour shafts & a full review, but where I live it's -32*C and even the Polar Bears are hiding

-this is the 4th session I've had w this club
-I have previously tested it against my gamer (909D3) and the following clubs: G30, G30 LST, R15, D3/D2, Fly Z+, Vapor Speed, BBa 815
-all tests done w an array of shafts including stock and were all performed w V1X balls
-as well, I was warmed up w some iron shots, and more than 2-3 swings at each session .. .probably wasted Golf Town's time about an hour each time....but the guys are awesome to me there.

-the driver is straight...just freaking lazer beams straight
-it spins more than a majority of the above drivers, except maybe the Speed and G30 (not a ton more, but it does)
-guess what tho ... spin equals in the fwy. Chasing a super low spin driver has done nothing but make me realize that low spin, equals more errant tee shots on misses
-I don't know about you guys, but Ill take a 2800-3200 spinning tee shot dead in the middle 250-260, than a 1800-2100 tee shot going left 285 in the rough or OB
-and I'm not launching it to the moon either, sitting in the 12-13* range, so ballooning it wont be an issue in the wind
-my swing will get me more distance, not the driver (AoA needs a little bit or work apparently)
-i hit a few that I felt like I completely missed, only to find it like 15 yds offline and 5-10 yards short of a good strike
-yes yes Im inside on a sim, but I have a baseline I'm comparing to and I know my swing and my abilities enough to know a good swing or not
-looks, sound, feel, performance is better than most other offerings today ... although the new Fly Z+ is REALLY nice at address too....stock shaft does not suit me tho and have nothing to test in that head. And I'm sorry, I'm not spending $500 on a Cobra driver only to change the shaft for another $150-200. Call it the stubborn Ukrainian in me I inherited from my wife's family.
-that being said, the BCP from last year, I'm betting is a great head for the money today and would keep up to the Fly Z+ IMO


After all this ... I still am undecided
It honestly wasn't light years better than my old 909D3 w a VTS Silver 6 shaft
But it does look cooler, sounds cooler and feels better ... maybe thats enough?? LOL!

After further testing, [b]if i did order it[/b], I would go: Pro Head, stock S+ 60 shaft, tipped 1", playing to 45"
Im a tweener for shaft flex and X is just too much to load on days I'm off. A tipped stiff has usually always worked for me.
I just didn't see enough of a difference in shaft spin or dispursion wise, to warrant the up-charge "cool shaft"

I had the PX 6.0 stock in my vr tour and loved it. So I had ordered the PXv with my Covert Tour. I was getting perfect numbers then I tore my ACL a week later after ordering the driver.

Fast forward a year and I did a CT2.0 with the TiNi shaft and liked it a lot so I gave the PXv to my bro. He used it in his covert 2.0 and was getting great numbers.

It is a great lightweight option that retains that Project X feel. The issue that both my brother and I realized is that light weight has a nice honeymoon but we both do better with heavier shafts.

Looking forward to hearing your experience with it.

Well, looks like I'm going to have a mini shootout. After playing the last three generations of Nike drivers, I fell in love with the 915 D3 in November... Then I hit the vapor pro at the merchandise show and it was going 20 yards further. So I've got one of those on order. Then on a whim yesterday, I decided I want to try the R 15. Waiting for the Nike and the Taylormade, but it looks like the matchup is going to be:

-Titleist 815 D3 8.5- Rogue Black 110 70 TX
-Nike Vapor Pro- Rogue Black 110 70 TX
-TM R15 9.5- Rogue Silver 110 70 X

Now I'm getting excited!

Higher launch do to the MK6? Have you tried the chrome in the pro yet?

Hit the Flex, Pro, and 915 D3 today and the Flex was extremely impressive feel/sound wise. Ive seen a couple people and other reviews mention that the numbers didn't match up with how well it performed on the course and I am wondering if I may have run into the same thing. The Flex was one of, if not the best feeling/sounding driver I have ever hit but hated the s+ shaft. The Pro was ok feeling but wasn't any different than the Covert Tour 2.0 IMO. When comparing the Flex (stock S+ Stiff) and the 915 D3 (D+ X Stiff), I felt that the Flex was better but the D3 produced better results on the monitor (I'm guessing the shaft helped quite a bit). I consistently had a lower launch with the D3 and had a longer carry (spin numbers were very similar). I realize that the D+ is obviously lower launch/spin and I tend to like the D+ series so if I could find a Flex with a D+ I think I would be in heaven. Both heads were 8.5 standard and the the weight was forward on the Flex. Very impressed overall with looks, feel, and sound of both the Pro and Flex (D3 was extremely loud).
