I have not but I want to play there in my next golf trip. Planning to go to Dubai and play 3 courses and this one is on my list. It is the earth course, correct?

Green fees aren't too bad for this course, especially having a event like this.

It's a pity that European Tour coverage has gone the way of US TV coverage and is showing Rory warming up on the range and standing on tee boxes chatting away instead of showing other players' shots.

Yes, you have to chose wisely the time of the year though, it's impossible to play some day because of the heath

You should also consider Yas Links in Abu Dhabi, they say it's incredible!

Could be better today, but when I wrote my comment, I had just finished watching my recording of yesterday's round. I was on fast forward often.

Just heard Kaymer's post-round interview for the German feed. He started by "It's always a little difficult for me to play with Graeme.." and I thought "Here comes another slow play rant". But then he said: "He plays a different kind of game, always scrambling, getting it up and down from everywhere and making all the putts. If you are like me and can't do that, it tends to become a bit frustrating. I know I should not let this get to me, but it is not easy. But we get along very well with each other, and in that respect, it was enjoyable."
Sums up the feelings I have with my regular golfing buddy, for whom every chip is a birdie chance and every 8-footer is a tap-in, to a tee.

I've been lucky enough to play both the Earth course and Yas Links, different types of golf and you need to choose your tees wisely especially on the Earth course. Had a great UAE moment at Yas Links when on one tee I asked one of the guys we were playing with what the line was, he waved the butt end of the club fowards saying "aim at the Ferrari sign"

Is it hard to get on the earth course? I know that if I ever play there, you will never see me tee off on the championship tees? It's like 7,600 + yards.
