Rule of thumb: if someone puts a picture as the background for a chart, they can't be trusted. IMO this graph is more disqualifying than the putt-per-GIR numbers you guys are ranting about.

That's the one that I was referencing. I could have created nearly every other chart in there, without their data. But that one...just seems like someone got a program for Christmas and just figured out how to use it. Kinda like a SnapChat filter for them.

 

That's a funny thought, but incorrect. Want to know why I know it's incorrect? Because look at this s***! Go to Excel, click "Recommend Chart", and the first two options are the right ones. Bam. Problem solved. You have to actively try to make a chart that stupid. Though to be mildly fair, the pie chart would be more dumb than the line chart.

Reminds of of the first time someone learns how to build a pivot table and just starts comparing a bunch of nonsensical data - just because you can.

GTT: You have to lay up on a par 5... what distance/ club do you want in for your third shot?

 

i've been loving me some nearly full shots this winter. just a bit under my "normal" number. a little more controlled swing has been working. so, if my laser reads any of these on the nose, i feel like something good is about to happen. yardages subject to change based on temp and the number of layers i'm wearing.

You have to club down on those executive courses. And round those yardages for common core you dingus

GTT : Generally as close as I can get. I've gotten MUCH better on those 30-60 yard shots.

 

Anything inside of that is just chipping anyway.

 

Sometimes it depends on an angle or whatnot. At 17 at Norbeck last week, Eagle and I both had like 30 yards in over a trap. I actually would have preferred more of a full shot there.

Not clear if its layup based on hazard or if just being forced to layup for distance. Either way I'm hittng it as close as I can with a 3w/5w depending on potential trouble. Unlike apparently a majority of golfers, I'm much better off with a 50 yard shot than a 150 yard shot.

Weapon lasers or rangefinder lasers? Cause that factor definitely affects my club choice.

You know what's a great ball, the Bstone e6.

 

 

I will also endorse the e6. I have been using them all winter.

 

I like the e6. I was trying a lot of low spin balls at the end of last year since I put a lot of spin on the ball, and these worked great. The NXT was a good compromise ball. I'd play them all year if I hadn't been brainwashed into drinking the Callaway Kool-Aid. :smilie_cally: :D

That's actually a secondary benefit of hitting 3W or Driver into a par 5. Very often a topped shot can still go about 120 yards. If you're coming in from 240, NBD.

I'm with you Eagle. The full shot 9i on down through a 56 is the solid choice for me. No need to adjust, tweak, enable, or otherwise introduce a rum-runner option if my full swing is in full effect. (can I even say that?)

dave, it's definitely a bit mental. the difference in 95 and 94 read out on the laser is virtually insignificant in terms of the shot.

 

but i FEEL better if it says 95.

The bank I go to didn't have any flowers out for the tellers, but when I went around the side, one of them was dating someone who sent by delivery: Berger Cookies!!! I told her that whoever sent those was a keeper. I had never seen these in the Ocean City area before! She responded with "Meh, I don't really like them, do you want some?"

So I'm currently macking on some Berger cookies some poor schlep sent to impress his girl and it totally flopped. Happy Valentine's Day to me!

A woman owned the house next to me named Kathryn.

 

She moved out and rented it to 3 women, one name Katie, who moved one block away. Time passes.

 

Someone else (Liz) bought the house and one day she got a bunch of Berger cookies addressed to "Kat". Like 6 dozen. We were like, "that's the old owner. She lives in Africa now."

 

She called Berger Cookies, INC. They were like "that's all the order says. We have no other information on her."

 

So, Liz started giving the cookies away. Gave 'em to her Audi dealer. Gave 'em to us, other neighbors.

 

A few days go by and I get a facebook message from Katie (the renter who lives a block away), "do you know the woman who lives in my old place?"

 

"yeah".

 

"Well, she stole all my berger cookies."

 

"Oh, that was YOU? We thought it was Kat?"

 

Long story short. . .Katie LOST HER SH1T. Wrote Liz this crazy letter about how it's inconsiderate people like her who are ruining society and she should have looked for the owner, etc etc etc." She kept messaging me on facebook about it, etc etc.

 

All because SHE put her old address on the berger cookies. And, Liz actually went out of her way to find the owner. It was nuts.
