Slighter in T&L Golf

Travel & Leisure Golf did a 5 page putter spread. and includes Tom's heavily stamped Tacoma. If anyone can post more pics (Mitch) it would be great - can't make out the stampings but they look unbelieveable.

I have seen the putter and it is amazing... once I get the go ahead from the senior editor of the magazine I will post some pics that Tom took of the putter before it was sent off.

 

The stamping on this putter is amazing! Tom is very satisified on how it turned out and Dean (machinist) got to do a little bit of his own taste to the putter as well.

 

I will get you some pictures as soon as I am able to post them.

 

Plus I still don't even have the magazine yet!

hmmm, give me a second on that and I will get the photos up by tonight. Unless they tell me I cant... but I would love for the wrx members to have the photos of the putter up close! So that is what you will get... just let me get some confirmation haha.

 

We are deciding on what to do with it. haha.

The stamps on the hosel are very small!

 

Tom said that when he stamped it, he couldn't hit them soft enough before they would go through!

 

I love the marks the stamps made!

 

Still the Magazine hasn't been released up here in the Dakotas! I await patiently!

Is there no end to his creativity? The stampings are awesome and I know what those mill marks make each putt feel like (thanks, LaMont). Jus an outstanding piece of craftsmanship. Great job, Mitch!!!

My japanese is a little rusty, but the characters spell out "Su-rai-ta", or "Slighter", spelled out in katakana. A cool and different touch for the stamping.

You are correct on the katakana! "Slighter" is what the characters come out to be!

 

and yes we thought it turned out very "Slayer" like as well in the cavity... came out pretty cool! That was the part Dean got to play around with. He did a great job playing with the Slighter logos!

 

and yes there are carbon steel options from Slighter.
