Just a Thank You...

Just wanted to take a moment and say Thank You to the "Classic" Community.

You have all encouraged me in my classic journey in your own way.

This year since returning to Golf WRX and specifically to the Classic Community I have vastly increased the number of rounds I've played with vintage clubs and improved my performance with them. I have now played over 30 rounds with Wood woods and forged blade irons of pre-1985 vintage this year.

I have fallen in love with a set of modern classics playing 1986 Mizuno Cimarron forged blades with a Titleist 975D driver and 980F fairway woods with an Axaline flanged steel putter.

I am still slowly working on a set of Hickory clubs which I am looking forward to finishing and playing before the arrival of the "Snow Flakes" ;) to South Florida.

I had been turned off by most of the "discussions" on the other side of Golf WRX and at that time the Classics forums were very under used. I am very glad that I checked back and found a flourishing and accepting Classic Golf Community.

Thank you all.

All Forged, all the time.

Man we are more than glad to have you and are glad you chose us. Seriously. I will tell you before I found this section I thought something was seriously wrong with me because I bought play with and hoarded old clubs. Found out there were folks just like me on here and just as twisted. I have made quite a few friends here and have learned a lot. Where else could you "talk" with people with such vast knowledge of the game and equipment like Mr. Moore and Mr. Penna. Every time I come on here I learn something especially about Hogan clubs and Hickories and found out there was a lot I did not know about my beloved Macgregor lines. There are a lot of good people and skilled craftsmen on this side of WRX

Although my favorite section of Golfwrx is the Classic section, I enjoy the other topics, including the modern equipment stuff. I have found the entire Golfwrx informative and conducive to comments.

I can really say that I have found NO negativity thrown at me personally through out the site. I try to stay away from some of the more "heated" discussions, though.

Cheers!

I admire your deft touch to have been able to stickhandle through the various personalities and not attract a bit of venom. I know that early on I caught my share of cat calls from time-to-time. Fortunately experience has taught me what sorts of discussions to avoid participating in.

My problem is LOFT -- Lack of friggin' talent

[/quote]I have caught some flack on some other threads for my honest opinion and some of my ways of doing things and like you I avoid subjects that lead to argument or sarcastic no purpose non constructive answers. I generally stick around this side and the Confessions forum in the 19th hole

No need to apologize Wriggles, I'm not keeping score! That said, I do appreciate the support!
