I will just have to agree to disagree, I don't think wanting lowtop golf shoes is nitpicking. We're not talking about NIKE Bandon with elements in play or Fowler fashion adds. Don't try to feed me BS about preventing grass and debris from entering the shoe.

You're missing the point - that's exactly what it's for and is a very good idea IMO. Works as advertised.

No, we're not talking about those things, we're talking about how you're suggesting that Nike not catering to your individual wants is somehow alienating many of their consumers. You can want the lows, I do too. I would buy some high tops too but I already have flyknit chukkas and I want to try the elites in a low. I know that I'm one of their main target demographics and I think the pink blast/volt sounds badass and I don't think they'll have a problem moving them. It's a brand new product, if you want something specific sometimes you'll have to wait til you find something that fits what you want.

Again, we'll have to agree to disagree. It is not just one individual; I know many that share these same sentiments, and they are also NIKE's target demographic, have worn Jordans/NIKE for years, do wear Volt in other applications, etc. They are alienating those fans, not just me.

This doesn't mean they are alienating me just that I won't be purchasing any those products I don't like. Have all the previous versions of the TW shoes and the new FI Bermudas that I love. I'm waiting on the low top elites but if I don't like them I won't buy them and then wait for the next release .

Exactly, I saw a kid at the range lastnight wearing some chukkas, some super short shorts and a shirt that would probably fit my 4 year old

I would love a pair of flyknit golf shoes..but high tops and shorts, I'm not a kid, this isn't 1990, not my style, and I could not pull that off even if I wanted to

So ya, they are targeting a specific demographic, excluding everyone else.

I don't feel like I'm alienated or they deliberately not catering to me, but there's nothing wrong with being bummed out them not providing something you want in a specific style

The Chukkas will be my third pair of Nikes. Luckily my 13W Waverlys are too wide for my feet and my brother who rarely plays told me his Dunks are too narrow so I am giving him the Waverlys for whenever we play.

Size 13 and had the same issue, I've just started wearing slightly thicker socks which have worked

The only issue I see with the late release of the lows is for someone like me who plays in shorts and doesnt want the wicked tan lines that come from June to July. I think a mid August release pushes out an option that I would have looked at when it starts to cool down and the flyknit's big advantage in the heat isnt as important (for me). I am debating on going with a shoe that is lighter but maybe not as breatheable as say the Chukkas because I am not sure of the higher top but then again when I think about it and I am out playing outdoor basketball unless I have Kobes on it get the same tan lines. I really wish a flyknit Kobe like in the photosgop thread would come out

 

 

If tan lines from your shoes is the biggest fault in your looks, I think you're doing okay ;)

They just drop randomly, Nike Golf and Jordan are separate, Jordan shoes won't appear on Nike Catalogs. Pretty much every Jordan Golf shoe has just spontaneously released out of nowhere.

 

Best to stay up on social media, they post (info,pics) there first.

I see your point Johnny4379. Nike is definitely targeting a certain demographic but I'm a "young at heart" 55 yo guy who has been lucky enough to maintain a "NIKE ATHLETE" body type (work out 6 x's a week) and I'm giddy about my Fruity Pebble Chukkas that showed up on my doorstep today. Just put them on after coming home from the club and I'll be rocking these on Friday with some red Nike shorts and lovin' every minute of it. It's all personal preference. That being said, I would definitely like something a little more "subdued" in the flyknit elites--not just grey. I have some pink LC2's and am looking for some slightly subtle colorways for those. If they don't appear, I'll get some LC4 ID's/Infrared AM90's. I would still love some pre-TW13 shoe styles (I loved my 13's but wore them out and went to the 14's for the white) and am still kicking my arse for not picking up the red Kostens when they were available for $100 :(

I got my infrareds yesterday. Love the way it looks on my feet and they are super comfortable. Headed to the Jersey Shore this weekend (yes the Jersey Shore) so I won't be able to test them on the course until next week.

I'm sure this has been discussed but how do the 90's fit? Do they run like the lc4s? I'm usually a 12 in running shoes and 11.5 in the golf shoes from Nike.

I have the Nike SNKRS app on my phone. I woke up on Sunday morning and it said they have reserved a pair of Infrared 90s IT golf shoes for me. I immediately hit the order now button and they arrived at my house on Wednesday.

Oh yeah, that woven material in white is a total pain. I'll just wear my older golf shoes in wet/excessively dirty conditions.
