this is been discussed alot over the years. I wouldnt say theyre soft but they are def not stiff to flex. Similar to the tour ad di, people generally seem to have more success flexing up.

I've liked the Fubuki's I've hit (besides the stock "ZT" that came in my old alpha) and agree with the poster above, and especially agree in comparison to graphite designs shafts (although I haven't tried their most stout model).

I've run through quite a few shafts and learned that many people have a predisposition of X flex shafts and that they are supposed to feel boardy or even harsh, and when people come across a very smooth, high end x flex, it's assumed to be loose or weak, and it's just not the case. I used an MJ 7X for quite a while and compared to my 757X it felt atleast a full flex weaker, but trajectory and dispersion were great and I have a pretty fast tempo, so if a shaft is intact "loose", it definitely affects my game. I think often people expect an X to feel like an Oban Devotion or something similar, when often they just feel weaker, but perform as well none the less. Just my 2cents.

but thats the tour. You have to be careful about not generalizing the shafts as they each are quite a bit different

Hey guys, I'm a monster Fubuki fan, played them all, this what I play 1. Callaway FTiz tour 9,5 with a fubuki tour 63x tipped 1". This driver is a high flying low spinning bomber that has given me longest drive 3 times, to me it feels smooth but control is the key, no stiff flex is as straight. 2. Callaway Razr Fit 8,5 with a fubuki k 70x, also quite a high flying low spinner but feels firmer than the tour, just as long but the feel of the K & the Razr Fit is honestly the best combo I have ever hit, I cannot recall when last I have missed a fairway with this combo. 3. Lastly I have a Callaway 815 dbd 9 with a Fubuki A 60x, admittedly, this is the least forgiving head of my collection & with the most adjustability, as a result I have not dialed it in properly yet but it's close. This Fubuki A honestly feels the smoothest of the lot, & initial testing had wondering about weather it was true to flex, however, it as well is a straight shooter that flies lower than the Tour & K but rolls a lot more.

Here are my stats & thoughts. Hcp 6, Swing speed 112/116. I am the only one in my four ball that plays x flex shafts, the rest all stiff, we are all between 2 & 10 hcp, so descent golfers. All have tried to hit my drivers, & have all said that they are too stiff for them.

I feel that Mitsubishi have really found how to make an x feel smooth & this is what has lots of people confused.

So X flex does not have to feel like rebar is how I see it.

My Fubuki J Stiff feels softer to flex in comparison to most of the other shafts I have tried. This includes the Diamana D+, Phenom, Tour AD DI and UST Chrome + that I recently tried in the same head.

Tour, Alpha, Ax...they all felt weak to me. Really wanted to try one of the heavier Alpha's, but didn't want to spend that amount of cash on an experiment.

The ZT flies well with mid/low spin, but I personally just don't seem to like the feel of the counter balance shaft, the results are quite good but I'm not sure if ill put my 60x in play based on the feel alone. In fact i have only hit it 5-10 times, I will try & spend some time with it at the range once again & will report back!

Long time Fubuki Tour user here. It always feels deceptively weak to me, I think that is part of the appeal. The feel is so smooth and loose that you can swing freely and not have to work to load the shaft. For me it was best of both worlds, it feels loose but the spin and dispersion are still pretty good.

It is still one of my all-time favorites, right up there with the OG Blueboard, which I currently have in my driver. I find the results very similar, but the Blueboard feels a little tighter, like it holds up to an aggressive swing better. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to switch back to a Fubuki one bit.

Unlike some shafts, I also noticed that tipping doesn't seem to do much to the feel or launch in my experience. A couple of years ago I gamed a Bio Cell and had a pair of shafts, one that was tipped 1" and one that was installed straight in and I'm not sure I could have told you which was which if I did a blind test...

I'm not seeing much love for the ZT 60

I have X flex for sale with the BB tip. Never used it. Let me know if you want it.

Well I tossed a fubuki tour 73x in my 5 deep (was originally in a 913 Fd) and the result was mind blowingly good

Then I dropped a whiteboard 83x in a 7 wood and It was also awesome

.... and now I am looking for 53x and 63x Mitsubishi shafts to try in my 3w and driver

I do have a 63x WB laying around but not sure it'd be great in a 3 deep, blue board would be preferable

I did not love WB in drivers a handful of years back

May be going back to Mitsubishi but I also want Ad Di 6x and ad DJ 8x

Sigh ,,, so many solid options

I believe that the Fubuki line are butt soft shafts (I remember someone telling me this, but I didn't confirm). If this is correct, then it can be what gives the softer feel, in an X flex shaft. I agree that they feel very smooth, and are the least boardy X flex shafts I have ever hit.

I think they play a little on the soft side. If you have a smooth to moderate transition, they are great shafts, imo. I've got a Fubuki K 60x on the way for my LTD pro. I have a feeling that shaft will be a carry monster in the LTD head.

I play Fubuki Tour 83X in my 3 and 4 wood. LOVE IT!

Contemplating a 73X or 83X in my next driver. The 83X is tough to find and I'm not sure if the same shaft will work for all three clubs. Works for the 3 and 4, will it perform in the driver too?

My 910 d2 was a beast with a fubuki tour 73x, not sure why I changed it when I went 913
