Had the 2014 apex/apex pro combo set, they were my favourite set until i started having the lefts.

Picked up a set of the CF-16s and loved the long and middle irons, wasn't to sure on the 9 and wedge, thought they were bulky and preferred the look of the Pro short irons. Combo set would be nice but probably a custom order in my area.

I was able to trade the CF-16s for a set of Pros. I love the tear drop sole of the pros and the less offset.

Was hitting the pros against my 714 ap2s.

I had better results with the pros even though the impact tape results favoured the 714s for centre contact. Shots closer to the toe with the pros beat the flushed shots with the ap2's.

The new apex pro's are pretty enough to love but i need to find the middle of these clubs to absolutely love these irons.

Getting pretty close to being on the Love team.

Update on my 2016 apex experience. Had the CF-16s but wanted the combo set. Traded the cf-16s for the PRO's then wished again i had the combo set. Combo set is a special order in my area. Ended up trading in the pros.

Went in today and to my amazement someone had just traded in a 2016 Apex/apex pro combo set 4-5 apex 6 7 8 9 Pro, 46,50,54,60 Callaway md3 wedge set. apex irons had recoil 110 f5 shafts[my favourite shaft]. s400 in the wedges. Absolute dream set for me, and priced 1/3 of the new retail price.

Had the 2014 apex combo set with the same shafts and wanted the 2016s bad. But to cheap to order them.

Stopped on the way home to hit a few at a grass range, the Recoils brought the clubs to life for me. Hope that feeling continues.

Deal of the decade for me today.

Was looking in the rear view mirror on the way home expecting the police to pull me over for club robbery. lol

That's a nice find you have yourself there!

I still can't believe someone spent a ton on that set then traded them in.

My 2014 apex combo set was the Callaway reps personal set [recoil 110 f5s] i found them at a demo day sale for a reasonable price.

Never thought i would get a similar set in the 2016 models.

Love the fact these are already pre worn so i'm not worried about getting them dirty. I would never have ordered a 46,50,54,60 in the MD3s but very Glad the previous owner did.

Had to meet someone at the range tonight and hit some more balls with the combos. Very Happy. Thanks for the nice comments. craz-e.

Did i mention someone else traded in a Ping TR Craz-e-r putter the same day. All around good day for me.

Just ordered up a set of the Apex combo set. I liked the fact that this set was designed to work with each club lofts and not leave gaps. They have a more mat finish than the Apex pro model. I was able to hit the reps set (not my specs) but found them to be very forgiving and playable. Talking to the rep he told me they are releasing a new Crome Soft ball (Crome soft-x) it will mimic the firmness off the driver like the Pro-v1x, but still provide the spin of the Crome Soft+. Got a sample and will try it out. I'm a big fan of the 2016 Corme Soft ball.

After a few demo's of the 16's, I preferred the prior model, which I absolutely should not have sold. Once my swing goes bad about halfway through this season ( I seem to have an inevitable slump) I'll probably buy another set. The 16's perform just as well, but I didn't find anything that would've made me switch about them.

Back 4 months later...

Guess what I went and got again..

This is my first experience with them, and so far they've been great. The weight is just perfect for me, and they don't feel boardy like other X Stiff shafts. Nice penetrating ball flight as well.

SoCalTitliest,

For some reason i seemed to go left a ton with the Apex pros, had the same trouble with the 2014 models as well. [Not the clubs fault]

I hit my Recoil Ping ie1s straighter so I'm going back to them. Also hit some G30s straight as well. My MP-5s are anti left as well. My miss is left so I'm sticking with what hits somewhat straight.

I will pick up another set of the CF-16s down the road, should not of sold those.

You could be right AmpliFire, i have hit the lie board a few times and 2-3 upright is usually what comes up.

I was fitted for some Tmade M2 tours, X100s [went with PX 6.5s] decided to experiment and ordered 2 degrees flat. I hit some great shots with those and left wasn't an issue with those.

I had the Ping ie1's[.75 upright blue dot] at the same time and preferred them. Sold the M2 Tours.

I would like to try the flat experiment on another set of irons. Thanks for the reminder.

Brain just woke up. lol Might have to experiment on the Apex/Apex pros. I just love the look of those and hate to blow them off.
