Received the MISIG today and from first impression is well made with clear instructions and further directions on a website which I didn't need to use. The stretch does as advertised ! Performing the stretch definitely stretched the back and shoulders which on me are tight and lack mobility from years of hockey. Works as advertised. Excellent and highly recommended

As I told Knuds, I'm excited to incorporate this into my therapy and I've gotta say that my therapist, who I've spoken of before and he's a Player outa Oakmont, was almost as excited as me and is looking forward to trying it, lol

Mine arrived today while I was up in Toledo cleaning out stuff from my parent's house to get it ready to sell. Turns out living somewhere for 46 years allows you to accumulate a few items.

I'll give it a go tomorrow and post something as well. If I can move.

Mine arrived today as well. Watched the video online when I got home and tried it for a few minutes. Then wifey told me it was dinner time and quit screwing around with the new toy lol. :(

I could definitely feel the stretch. Going to take it to my instructor and see what he thinks as well.

As the instructions state it will be an ongoing process and I will continue to post on here.

OK so I tried this extensively today. It is definitely an interesting stretch and at 46 years young I felt it. I am supposed to play in the morning so my plan is to get up a little earlier and do about 5 minutes of the MSIG before I go play and see what happens.

 

And after using it I have a particular player on my high school team in mind who is going to try it first.

I'll keep you posted. Unless I hit a drive that never comes down in which case you may see me on the news.

Well, this is the MISIG set-up...

 

~ stretch pole with grip

~ grip/sleeve with tube attach loop

~ nylon/Velcro lower bicep cuff tube metal attach loop

~ 3 tubes(varying lengths) with metal loops

 

I'm sorta scraping in thinking of what to call all of various parts of the device so please feel free to describe them or name them however you'd like, lol

 

I've included pics below and the black nylon pouch pictured is from an extra set of resistance bands that I had and I can put the grip/sleeve, tubes and bicep cuff in it and throw it in my bag.

 

Also, nice quality on everything. I was checking out the stitching on the cuff and they didn't cut corners and the nurse even commented that it was well made(she had to assist me in putting it on my right arm, lol).

 

As I'm not currently Playing, I just set the pic up in typical poseur fashion with a hybrid cover over the grip end of the pole as it sits comfortably next to my covered alignment sticks.

Anyhoo, my therapist had me go through a routine today and he had me do it left and right handed for my therapy and for me now, it's a batch, but I definitely felt it on my right side(my left side has a loss of feeling though I got a burning/tingling sensation so it was doing something, lol.)

 

He also tried it(he's a +2.6 outa Oakmont) and he really likes it.

 

Well, I'm tired cuz this was one of my more rigorous sessions so I'm gonna lay down for a bit. Plus I just got my meds, lmao

Poseur RP? Never lol! But I see you went straight to attaching the red band. Instructions say start with the yellow(orange in the box) then graduate to blue and then to red band. But of course Richard, even medicated, goes straight to the firmest stretch red!

LMAO, Bro, I had to go back after reading your post and I looked in the box and the instructions were folded as such that they stayed in the box when I took everything out, lol

LMAO, I didn't even know that there were instructions as I got another swing aid that directed you to You Tube for the operational instructions and I figured that this was the same.

 

I just grabbed the red, attached it and off I went, lol. I did have the other two with me but my therapist never said anything and that's the one that we used, haha.

Thanks for the heads up cuz I just tried the orange and those are what I'm using for my next session.

 

I left that "no pain no gain" bullshat mentality in the lockeroom when I walked out for the last time 32 years ago, lol

So I have been using it for a couple days now-and got it approved by my instructor here in Phoenix! He commented after using it that while hitting a couple balls he could definitely feel the stretch and it would be beneficial. Also suggested using it right and left handed-I am a righty but both directions stretch will help. Unlike Richard I am following directions :) using the easier band first and graduating in a few days.

 

I will continue to update.
