Mayweather hasn't KO'd anyone legit in a decade and a half. He doesn't have power. It took a sucker punch nearly 10 years ago for his last KO. He doesn't knock Conor out, it's bad for boxing. He won't knock Conor out. And no one he's fought has the power Conor has. Mayweather won't get a punch off on the clinch at all. He's never fought someone that knows how to work an overhook or an underhook. They clinch, Floyd will be carrying every bit of Conor's weight. And he's too little to do that much at all.

And this will be much more than $100 million. That's Floyd's base rate. He'll make more on this one than he did the Pacman fight

Hyberole aside. I'll just add this. Hints, if you will.

Google van Heerden McGregor. Watch closely. Watch the footwork. Watch the body motion. Watch the ring control. You following? Here's more hints.

What you see there is Chris van Heerden toying with someone who is lost. At any moment van Heerden could've put McGregor on his a**. At any moment. Just watch it. McGregor may as well be a news reporter in that sparring session.

That was 2016. You don't make up that much ground in one year. Not to go against someone like Mayweather Jr.

I'll give you this. McGregor has a puncher's chance. That's why he's 500:1

But, alas, anyone who is really understanding the science of this outside of the publicity stunt understands the Browns stand better odds of blanking the Patriots than 'Notorious' winning this.

If it even happens.

Folks again just don't realize how much of an athlete Conor is. How hard he works. Paulie Malinaggi was brought in as a sparring partner. Conor put his hands behind his back and dared Paulie to hit him. Paulie couldn't touch him, but he had a black eye and a swollen jaw after 8 rounds of sparring with Conor with headgear on.

Paulie hasn't been in the gym for a long, long time. He took that sparring session on short notice.

Black eyes and swollen jaws happen all the time with headgear on. The headgear is there to prevent things more serious than that. You can slip every punch and look much worse than how Malinaggi looks.

C'mon, seriously.

I love Conor but it will be a success if he is standing after 12, if he wins a round it's an achievement, if he won the fight he's a legend. Anything Rookie is claiming about Conors advantages can be said 10 fold about Floyd. Floyd doesn't need to knock people out, that's just part of boxing. It's like saying Tony Gwynn sucks at baseball because he doesn't hit homeruns. Their is nothing that I would like to see more than to see Conor win by first round KO, it's just a really tall task, landing on Floyd might be the hardest task in all of sports.

While Rocky was fiction it was based on the life of Chuck Wepner who was a club fighter that was offered a fight with Muhammad Ali for $100,000 (the most Wepner ever fought for). Stallone based the Rocky movie loosely on the 1975 Wepner fight with Ali though for years denied or gave credit to Wepner. A law suit was settled in 2006.

Paulie isn't Mayweather. Conor is a great athlete but he was rocked by Nate Diaz and MMA isn't boxing. Floyd doesn't have to worry about kicks, elbows, or takedowns, he's just going to dance around the left hand and pick Conor apart. Mayweather has fought seasoned boxers who barely touched him, you really think Conor with minimal pure boxing experience can hurt him?

The only concern Mayweather has, (which is why he had all sorts of language added to the contract to protect him) is that Conor gets frustrated with being a human punching bag and tries to make this an MMA fight to save face.

I think the best bet on this fight right now is Mayweather "inside distance" at -135. Meaning he wins by any means inside of the full 12.

I just don't see any conceivable way that this goes the distance. None.

CM will attempt to make it an all out brawl up close the first few rounds, if it lasts more than 3-4 rounds no way CM can win on the cards.

There is a reason why CM isn't smack talking Malinaggi. Its because he knows his corner treated PM like crap. Rarely ever does a sparing/training partner go 12 rounds let alone 5... especially without the party knowing. The intent of that session wasn't training.

They probably wanted him to quit to hype the fight more.

The intent of sparring partners is to cycle out rather quickly to make the fighter being TRAINED be made to go round after round after round with fresh opponents, preferably with different move sets.

Sparring partners don't fight back. They are there to test the person being trained, not beat them up.

Remember the link I posted to van Heerden? Chris wasn't beating on McGregor. He was testing him. Training him. Respectfully.

McGregor & Co. set this thing up to "teach Pauline a lesson".....

No photogs except the pets. Out of context photos posted to social media. Observers solely there to document the "beating" that is supposed to be a professional sparring session.

So an essentially retired professional boxer who is now a talking head makes honest observations about an MMA fighter with a spoonful of amateur boxing training, and you want to prove you're alpha by taking this stone cold off the couch, jet lagged, out of ring shape, has never been considered a power fighter talking head "to school" for 12 rounds by duping him into a sparring session turned cluster ****?

Chris van Heerden has already said he'd come back to spar with McGregor. Actually what he said was if McGregor pays him he will kick his a** and beat him up like a Bee otch. Shouldn't take 12 rounds. I guess 1-2 is 12 lmfao.

Something tells me McGregor & Co won't be making that arrangement any time soon.

He's becoming a fantastic heel. I enjoy it.

Wouldn't shock me in the least if Paulie got a big payoff to "shoot" with McGregor.

Pro wrestling these days could take some lessons from this program.

I see this--if it happens--going the full distance, with Mayweather Jr winning by TKO. Hugs and mutual hand raises at the end. Mayweather Jr props McGregor up in post fight press conference while McGregor puts Mayweather Jr over as "the greatest of all time".

Keeps him at 50-0 and builds up McGregor. Just like pro wrestling, it's possible to "lose" and get "over"......

Money will ooze out of the ground around both of them with every step they take for the rest of their days.

He didn't say that he lost 15 rounds.

What were you hearing that made you think that?

He said he "probably lost every round" the first spar and that he "lost the first half of the rounds" the second spar. First was 8 rounds. Second was 12 rounds.8+6 equals 14. And he said he probably lost the second spar overall, so I gave him 1 more round lost for 15.

I've been the winner and the loser of boxing bouts and MMA bouts.

Losing an MMA bout is much less stressful. Boxing wears on your soul, especially against a guy like Mayweather Jr who will pick you apart like a bird eating from a loaf of bread.

The stress of trying everything you can to connect with something--ANYTHING--only to have that futile failure of effort jabbed back into your eye for even 3-5 rounds much less 8, 10, 12, 15 rounds is a psychological a** kicking way worse than anything physical.

Been there done that. Would much rather lose an MMA bout on points than a boxing bout on points.

Knockouts and submissions notwithstanding.

I think Floyd will mess with him for awhile, to make it an event. He's a showman, he knows what to do.

Didn't Pacquiao do exactly this to Horn? I still can't believe he lost.

Obviously this is only a brief look, and I think the odds are still in Floyd's favor, but I'll say this, if Conor pulls off the upset, I won't be surprised. I can't wait to watch this fight!

Sounded more like he beat Conor and talked trash to him and his people while doing it.

I guess it's possible you heard what you wanted to hear though. My girlfriend has the same problem.

Dana just released video on his social media. Conor was wrecking Paulie. And the mini press tour he went on claiming he was pushed down was just proven a lie. Conor dropped him with a short uppercut. Paulie has done one thing though, proven Joe Rogan's point that concussed fighters shouldn't be interviewed
