Unfortunately the tongue is still the same stupid material that started on the LC4. It's impossible to clean and makes the shoe look awful when rest is cleaned up.

ws.han on instagram has a great shot of one of the new colorways. You csn see the upper is definitely a synthetic material that wont stain like last years version.

 

That’s why I never got the first Lunar Control Vapor in white or light color. My ocd won’t let me play in stained shoes.

 

Looks like the 2’s changed all that.

if you are referencing the white and black camo shoes, those are a limited edition release and will be in limited quantities at certain stores/online retailers. as far as ive read, they will NOT be a stock shoe...just an LE

001 is not on the 2018 catalog, it is on the 2017 catalog (because it releases in 2017)

 

I wouldn't expect 400 to get released until the first of the year.

No worries. I'm assuming they just included 100 and 002 in the 2018 catalog with a 1/1 release date because they will already be out but are still technically part of the SS18 lineup. I haven't seen any in-hand pictures of the 400 or 003, but I am intrigued.

I want to try these next to the new Tour360 Boost 2.0s but like in the past with my LC4s i suspect these will wear down faster and that tongue will be impossible to clean. The price point at $25 cheaper than the Boost is a good move though.

 

I'm not trying to hate, the 4's were one of the best shoes ive ever worn for a long period of time but compared to how they have lasted next to my Boost 1.0s (Just got the 2.0s) it was really disappointing.

zoom in close enough on the 2018 shoe catalog in other thread and it looks like the tongue may be volt or have volt accents on it. Real product may always differ of course.

I'm definitely buying the 400 version when it's released. It reminds me of some of the Nike Legends or the really early Air Jordan basketball shoes (I had a white/blue pair when they first came out, before the classic red/black ones dropped) from the mid-80's.

some close ups. still really like those thunder blues. but the dark also looks like it may have some additional volt accenting in tongue of the shoe

that thunder blue looks pretty good. I suppose I could always get some fabric paint and paint the tip of the toe white to match the rest of the toe guard and get rid of the "tab"
