900 Tour vs. MP 18

You sure don't hear much about the most successful non-sponsored irons on Tour last year since the MP18's were introduced. We'll see how much their disciples really loved them when the excitement over the MP's wanes a bit. They sure covered both ends of the aesthetic spectrum with these two and covered the space between with the SC's and MMC's. Looks like nothing but good us that they've offered everything at a relative bargain instead of jumping on the "high end" bandwagon. I'm loving Mizuno right now!

The 900T has a leg up over the 18 with a US Open win which is huge in my books.

Mizuno has been pushing the 900 tours on instagram and Facebook every win they get all year. Will be interesting to see how receptive the MP-18’s are this year.

I’m just saying that Mizuno has been pushing its 900 tours, just have to know where to look to see it.

With all due respect to Mizuno's great irons, I would say the US Open win had more to do with the event being held on a course set up with massive fairways that free-swinging Brooks Koepka could not miss -- the kind of course the Open will not return to. The tee shots substantially mitigated the course difficulty. It would not have mattered which iron he was playing. He could have been carrying Northwestern irons.
